Ristorante Malipiero

29/04/2025: The frescoes dominate you and involve you in an elegant setting with a lived-in but contemporary area. The Malipiero restaurant in Villa Barbarich is a hotel restaurant but with its own unmistakable style. By candlelight in one of the rooms all frescoed with epic and triumphant scenes you can taste traditional Venetian dishes in a contemporary way. Spaghetti with lagoon clams and sea urchins, a great dish! The freshly made bread and breadsticks are the part you don't expect, hot and crunchy. The croaker with crust in a green palette, restores and satisfies you by joining the scenic power of the places. The waiters welcome you and always pamper you with elegance and professionalism. In short, for a couple's dinner, recommended but also for some event in which to surprise your guests. We will be back.

22/08/2025: I confess that this time what struck me was the helpfulness, the smile, and the warm welcome from the man I thought was the owner, but he wasn't. I ordered the "scoccia" (seafood), and I must say I did really well. The spaghetti was truly cooked to perfection and just the right thickness. It's the first time I've found a scallop on my plate. It's perfectly acceptable. Those who follow me know that one of my assessments is influenced by the wine in the carafe... it's there, and they call it by its proper name: Glera. Those of us who were with me ate the pizza, which they said was good overall, the arrosticini, and the tagliata, and they all said it was delicious. More than a restaurant, I'd call it a welcoming trattoria; it feels like being with family, thanks in part to the decor, which I really liked. In conclusion, I might consider celebrating my next big event here... unlike other times, instead of being surprised, I'd already peeked at the website... You guys should do the same!
