Stopped by for a snack and loved their olive bread and biscotti. Everything else looked great as well. Super friendly lady working here and great prices.

Absolutely recommended!! Family-run bakery, serving hot and cold dishes from morning till night. The owners themselves are behind the counter! A generational operation, the food is of the highest quality (the tomato sauce is homemade)! The prices are truly amazing: two lunches and two glasses of wine with lunch for just under €20 (including tip). 5/5, highly recommended!!!

I've returned to this bakery several times, drawn by the rave reviews. It's on my commute to work, and I love a savory breakfast, so bakeries are among my favorite places. Honestly, even today, I struggle to understand the popularity of this neighborhood bakery. The place is small and not particularly intriguing in terms of furnishings or atmosphere; it feels a bit like a generic café. The selection of savory baked goods is truly limited, and the counter is certainly not designed to impress; it's rather boring and basic. At 9:00 a.m., there were savory round pizzas and a few sandwiches, all made with schiacciata (flatbread), no bread, toast, croissants, or anything else. The schiacciata was pale and seemed undercooked. I tried the one filled with egg, tomato, and mayonnaise, but it was greasy, heavy, and generally unpleasant. Another time for lunch, I had a thin slice of pizza, neither good nor bad. Again, I don't know if I was just unlucky or if I made the wrong choice the two times I got in. Too bad.

What a sandwich! One of the best in the world. Check that, the absolute best! I was here over a year ago but sometimes I still wake up thinking about the crunchy bread and soft filling inside. If you’re ever in Florence make sure you buy a hotel room without the breakfast option and instead get all your breakfasts at this place. And if it’s a rainy Florence morning while you’re waiting to pick up your rental car from Sicily by Car, take the opportunity to sample 2 slices of heaven at Panifico Palatresi. God bless the baker, the coffee was also acceptable.
