One of my favorite bakeries since I lived in Catania. I recently returned to buy some stuff to share with my colleagues in Northern Italy. I found some prices a little higher on certain items, but whatever. The dry pizza, the tavola calda, and the bread are definitely worth trying!

I only found the pistachio onion with ricotta and ham there, and it was the best of all the typical Sicilian food...this is the last one I bought yesterday morning and ate the next evening, and it's still soft and tender. With quality ham, perhaps Ferrarini ham, if I understand correctly... Do you deliver to Greece?

As a bakery and deli, it's very good, but the service leaves much to be desired. The blonde lady is quite rude, a poor endorsement for Catania.

27/02/2026: It was a bit deserted, but they took a long time to serve us. The cocktails were good, and so was the pinsa.
25/02/2026: A truly charming and unique venue, beautifully decorated with lots of details and featuring helpful and friendly staff. It's a great place to celebrate birthdays and events, as they offer a variety of options that are reasonably priced. I think the cocktails are good, but they could be improved.

Trattoria M'arricriu

16/08/2025: Excellent trattoria in a narrow street in Scordia, a town near Catania. The interior is cozy and intimate, and in the summer they open the tables outside on a quiet street. The meat is excellent. Everything is delicious.
