My rating is an average of the food (always subjective, I liked some dishes and didn't really understand others), the location (perhaps the most well-kept and pretty internal courtyard I've found in Bologna) and the service (unacceptable for the menu, costs and location).

Friendliness and quality that go hand in hand. Simple and adequately structured location. Each course was an explosion of flavors and colors. Cellar worthy of the menu. Fish cooked properly and with respect, which is never a given. Unparalleled staff. If anyone leaves a negative review, it is only out of envy.

Siamo tornati in questo ristorante dopo un paio d'anni di assenza, poiche, con franchezza, avevamo notato una certa "flessione" nelle pietanze, flessione che con la giornata odierna sembra ampiamente superata. Gustosi spaghettoni e a seguire tonno alalunga. Conclude un piccolo cannolo tradizionale. Servizio solerte e nella norma. Torneremo.

It is always a pleasure to have lunch in this quiet little place, excellent cuisine and a lot of kindness and attention to the customer. The dishes are very varied, with unusual but very good and well cooked fish proposals and a lot of care also in the vegetables proposed, always paying attention to seasonality.

My partner and I are at our third dinner at pane panelle. In our opinion, one of the rare restaurants where fish still has an excellent quality/price ratio.
Well-made and well-thought-out dishes, they combine flavors and the quality of the ingredients well (always excellent). They also have a menu designed for those who don't eat fish, allowing for some vegetarian and even vegan dishes, but always carefully prepared and not simply made to put something on the menu.
Among the various dinners we have tried everything, appetizers, first courses and second courses, and we have always found their dishes to be really good and well-prepared.
I have not yet tried the fried food, but their pasta with sardines is unrivaled even in Sicily (in any case the first courses have always been excellent) while recently we tried their broad bean humus which was simply amazing.
The staff has always been friendly and attentive so, what can I say, certainly recommended!

Excellent selection of Sicilian dishes, prepared with care and taste.
I tried the pasta with sardines, a large mixed fried fish for two and an almond semifreddo, with a good glass of cataratta. Recommended for a seafood stop in the center of Bologna.

Frequentiamo da diversi anni, posto carino soprattutto nella bella stagione dove si può usufruire del cortile all'aperto. La cucina ha perso da tempo la gradevole impronta siciliana che aveva qualche anno fa. Sta cercando, pare faticosamente, una connotazione, le ultime esperienze sono state piuttosto deludenti fra piatti eseguiti con poca maestria e rilevanti incrementi nei prezzi, soprattutto ricarichi poco comprensibili sui vini. Speriamo si riprendano
