08/10/2025: The food is excellent; try the homemade pasta (superb) and the meat (good and well-cooked), obviously with a cascade of porcini mushrooms. The place is a bit dated and could use some more tidiness; there are only a few tables. The wild strawberries in Nemi are a must; they're also available here, but I had mine overlooking the lake (spectacular).

I had the pleasure of enjoying a plate of homemade fettuccine with wild boar, which was a true masterpiece. The pasta, with its perfect texture, embraced a rich, flavorful sauce, with the wild boar adding a rustic, delicate touch to the dish. Each bite was an explosion of flavors that made me feel instantly immersed in the local gastronomic tradition. Next, the suckling pig platter was a real treat. The tender and flavorful meat melted in your mouth, its flavor reflecting the care taken in selecting the ingredients and preparing them. The platter was enriched with a selection of excellent cheeses, which, accompanied by a jam, perfectly complemented the experience. Every bite was a journey through authentic and genuine flavors. The combination of fresh ingredients, culinary expertise, and impeccable hospitality makes Le Scalette a must-visit for anyone who wants to savor the true cuisine of Nemi.
