In the heart of Isola Dovarese, within a charming, expertly restored historic building, lies Ristorante Quaranta, a place where tradition, elegance, and high professionalism blend together to create a gastronomic experience of rare quality. From the moment you enter, the atmosphere is distinguished by its elegant and refined decor, combining the charm of history with a warm and discreet welcome. Service is one of the restaurant's strengths: it stands out for its professionalism, expertise, and technical knowledge, particularly in its invaluable wine recommendations, always targeted and consistent with the menu selections. A heartfelt acknowledgement goes to Maria, whose work is distinguished by commitment, dedication, and solid theoretical knowledge, qualities that translate into attentive and impeccable service. Likewise, Giuliano's kindness, elegance, and attention to detail helped make the birthday celebration of a dear friend truly special, transforming an anniversary into a truly memorable moment. Special praise also goes to the venue's willingness to allow the karaoke artist to entertain guests with music, a gesture that gave the evening a touch of lively conviviality without ever compromising the elegance of the setting. Recommended for those seeking an atypical experience, within a prestigious architectural setting and with top-notch service, this restaurant represents an absolutely valuable choice for those who appreciate excellence, care, and sincere attention to their guests.

Ristorante Antico Pavone

05/07/2026: If you're looking for a genuine welcome and the flavors of yesteryear, this place is a must-see. It's a traditional family-run restaurant where you immediately feel at home. Here's why it deserves a full 5 stars: Exceptional food: Truly delicious, authentic dishes cooked with love. Superb service: The staff is incredibly kind and friendly, always welcoming you with a smile. Low prices: The quality-price ratio is unbeatable; you pay very little for the quality offered. We'll definitely be back, highly recommended! A big thank you to the whole family! 🙌
07/06/2026: Excellent Marubini, preceded by a mixed antipasti of excellent cured meats and decent pickles. The tiramisu to finish was also decent (not ladyfingers, but plenty of mascarponico). You can choose between the air-conditioned icebox or room temperature.

Pizzeria La Pendola

08/07/2026: Great place. The pizzas are super good and generous. Also, I shouldn't say this here, but since I didn't dare say it there and I'd like the owner to know: the owner, or at least the one I identified as the owner, is very classy and very beautiful.
17/06/2026: La Pendola is a place you either love or hate, and I—humblely—love it. I spotted it immediately on Google; it was attraction at first sight. It's located in a secluded alley, just steps from the center, and the white, red, and black sign and the frosted-glass door promise you've entered another dimension. The place is small, with just a few tables, and reservations aren't possible—you have to wait your turn for the experience. The decor is dated, a bit '70s/'80s, with the pizza chefs in full view. They serve a few draft and bottled beers, but the star of the show is the PIZZA. I'm a fan of it, in all its forms. This is a flat, super-crispy pizza that overflows from the plate. The ingredients are incredibly fresh. I ordered a Diamante, a combination of prosciutto and burrata. I thought I'd never finish it, but it was incredibly easy to digest. Kudos to the staff and the lovely young woman serving tables. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Cremona. Value for money, you say? No need for me to answer that.
