Pak Grill In Verona

Several times a year I have to change trains on a Sunday evening at Verona station, and I always head for Pak Grill. Verona station is in the middle of nowhere and food options in the station are limited to forking out €7.50 for a dodgy stale sandwich. However, walk out of the station, turn right, continue for two minutes, and Pak Grill saves the day! They do 42 different mains, either just the dish itself or as a "meal" combined with a side and a drink. There is Indian subcontinent, Middle Eastern, Italian & American nosh. Trains are generally late so normally I only have time to grab a take away, but this time I was able to sit down to a delicious rice with seekh "meal" for €13. Eat in or take away. Seats both inside & out.

Delicious kebab, with few ingredients but plenty of flavor and a good size. Very quick and well-prepared, perfect for a quick bite before catching the bus at the station.

The food is certainly good, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into the preparation, but I think there's still room for improvement in both the quality and presentation of the dishes. With a few more improvements, they could really take things to the next level. I'd also like to point out an important detail regarding payment. There's a sticker on the front door that clearly lists all the cards accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, and even American Express. However, when I got the bill, I discovered that their POS doesn't support Amex. This type of outdated information can be misleading for customers and create embarrassing situations, especially for those who regularly use that card. It would be helpful to remove or update the sticker to avoid misunderstandings and provide clear and accurate information. Otherwise, it was an overall positive experience, but there are a few things that need fixing.

A satisfying option for a quick bite at the station at fairly reasonable prices. I tried the piadina kebab menu. The fries were very crispy, the piadina was well-made and nice and moist. The meat was generous. They put a lot of care into it. It's a shame the place isn't the cleanest of all, and the overall condition leaves much to be desired. There were also a few too many flies. Recommended for a quick bite.
