We were looking for a pizzeria restaurant near the Tor Vergata hospital to eat something after a visit and we found Paglia e Fino. After a call to book, they confirmed availability. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed into a rustic and easy-going environment, very welcoming. We ate outside and the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. To start, we tried the fried foods: supplì, battered cod and Ascoli style olives. Everything was cooked exceptionally well, without being greasy. Then the pizzas arrived, a real surprise: thin and light, as the Roman pizza tradition requires. The dough was of the highest quality and easily digestible, without leaving that heaviness on the stomach that one can sometimes experience with pizzas. Browsing among the nearby tables, we noticed that the first courses also looked delicious and very abundant. This convinced us to return to try the cuisine too. The only negative we found was that they allowed smoking under the umbrellas in the outdoor area. Other than that, the experience was really positive. In conclusion, Paglia e Fino is a place without too many pretensions, but with an excellent quality of food. We will definitely be back to try other specialties.
