The man was very friendly and fun, and the menu was very informative and delicious.
This is a cost-effective restaurant.
This is my first review since coming to Rome.
You won't regret it.

A feast for the senses, I recommend it to everyone who wants to get to know local eateries. Everything that should be there is here: taste, craftsmanship and care for the stomach. I RECOMMEND, on a scale of 1-10 we give it 14 :)

Red or white!
The only choice you get and honestly you will be glad for it! The mystery of what is coming out the dining room followed by 'oooh's and mmmmmm's across the homey dining room is a feeling of how dinner should be forever.
Although a quiet dining room (Sunday night Feb 2025) I imagine in the spring and summer months the atmosphere would be more lively- therefore highly recommend booking a table!
The service for the waiting staff again was lovely, slight issue with a card machine- however there was a cash point down the road which was easy enough for us.

We have been coming here every year we were in Rome since 1999. Sadly one of the owners Paolo passed away in 2023 but thankfully her spirit is still there. Everything is the same: Fixed price multi course simple home style meal with choice of red or white wine carafe, and water for around €30 super person.

My wife and I were wandering the streets of Rome searching for adventure when we discovered this delightful family-owned restaurant on Largo del Pallaro.
Unlike other restaurants, here the owner handled most everything. He's wonderful.
His mother started the business in 1927 and it vibes well with the history of Rome and Italian traditions... good food, reasonable prices and service.
We highly recommend it.

The food is new every day and the atmosphere is classic and original.
The owner is very kind and has a good humor.
I recommend it if you want traditional Italian food.
The price is 30 euros per person and includes water, wine, bread, and all food. You can eat at your own convenience. It was nice that there was no rip-off.

Tasteful food and lovely behaviour of the owner. Definitely recommend the restaurant. They serve 5 course menu for 30 Euro and it works it, especially if you want to taste local Rome food.
