What a lovely find on Via Conte Ruggero. It's rare to find a place where the quality of the fresh fish is combined with such meticulous presentation. Every dish we tried was delicious, from the various rolls to the sashimi selections. I particularly enjoyed the cocktail served with fresh mint, the perfect accompaniment to dinner. An experience definitely worth repeating.

In my opinion overrated and specifically for Catania/Sicily highly overpriced. The fish had a good quality but the sushi was not well rolled, definately these guys are not trained sushi chefs. The relation of fish to rice was not well balanced. It missed small details that you expect from true sushi chefs (wrapping, rice,…) . As a result The sushi itself was mediocre. Anyone saying something different has never had good sushi. I had a cocktail for 12 Eur for about 50ml, if at all. The glass was 250ml filled completely with ice, the gaps were filled half way with Liquid, the other half was foam, which was part of the drink. Both the cocktail and the sushi was disappointing for the very high price. The water is from a reusable water bottle system and one of our bottles had dirt/fungus spores, they do not Clean them properly. We were unable to tell and show them as they removed the bottle very quickly once they were empty. Last but not least, the poor quality was reflected in cheap one time use chopsticks that you get from any takeaway. Totally unacceptable at this price category. You can see at every level how they save money or squeeze the last penny out of the guests. The service was rather heartless and we waited too long for placing orders, but they were fast removing plates even if you were not yet finished, which was quite annoying. Ambience was like any sushi restaurant with a modern atmosphere, nothing special. I do not recommend this place given the exaggerated pricing and mediocre quality and service.

Great restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. Food was perfectly made and tasted great. Only minutes from order to food on the table. Very long online menu so expect some time to decide what to order.

The wait staff was extremely friendly, and the food was delicious. Everything was fresh and served quickly. The price was in line with the excellent quality of the ingredients. I absolutely recommend it.

It is undoubtedly one of the best Japanese restaurants in the city for those seeking excellent ingredients and superior technical preparation. The fish is absolutely fresh. I really enjoyed the rolls with raw shrimp and bottarga, a perfect balance of flavors. Technique: The nigiri are expertly prepared. In particular, the seared squid was incredibly tender, with precise cuts that enhanced its texture. Atmosphere: The venue is elegant and refined, perfect for both an intimate dinner and a business meeting. The service is attentive, professional, and never intrusive. The price is consistent with the high quality offered. If you're looking for authentic sushi in Catania, Oxidiana remains a must-visit. Highly recommended!
