Oxidiana In Catania

Ottima materia prima, tutto molto buono a parte gli uramaki, ci vorrebbe qualche piccola accortezza in più durante il servizio.

Excellent raw material, everything is very good apart from the uramaki, a little more care would be needed during service.

Absolutely the best sushi restaurant in Catania, consequently dizzying prices. The dessert, ice cream with 🍎, delicious but....the portions infinitely small, also in this case mind-boggling prices. Japanese cuisine is absolutely something you can do without given the costs, but it is fashionable.

Great sushi restaurant! It's a shame that over time it has become a bit too "noisy", in the sense that there is too much noise and the tables are really stuck together. Nonetheless one of the best sushi restaurants in Catania

I recently went to OXIDIANA, a SUSHI restaurant that far exceeded my expectations. As soon as I entered, I was struck by the decor and colors, which fit perfectly with the origins of Japanese cuisine. The environment is welcoming and sophisticated, creating an ideal atmosphere for a high-class dinner. The presentation of the dishes was excellent, a real pleasure for the eyes. Each course looked like a work of art, with combinations of colors and shapes that enhanced the aesthetics of the food. But it was the taste that won me over completely: every bite was an explosion of well-balanced flavours, with innovative combinations and very high quality ingredients. The staff were extremely courteous and attentive, making the experience even more pleasant. Although the bill was not light, the quality of the overall experience fully justified it. In summary, "Sushi Gourmet" undoubtedly deserves 5 stars for its excellence in every aspect.

The food is EXCELLENT, if I want to eat great I know I have to go to Oxidiana. I have always had the large carpaccio and a selection of gunkan; Salmon, quail egg and truffle Beef fillet tartare, quail egg and truffle Wagyu foie gras and truffle Seared scallop and caviar And there isn't even a single criticism to make because the food has always been truly excellent, unique combinations. Sore point? Someone from the staff, I remember a girl with long dark hair at the bar counter who clearly made us feel uncomfortable, me and another person waiting for the table were sitting in the bar area (at their direction) this person was constantly looking at us and talking with his colleague as if we weren't noticing, the treatment continued even once we were seated at the table. He was neither polite nor nice. Another sore point? The wooden chopsticks, leaving aside that you don't even get the right taste in eating, furthermore I don't find them up to the prices and expectations they create

There is no doubt about the quality of the fish, certainly excellent. The rolls we got were very good, the nigiri (rice balls with a thin slice of fish on top) were not so good, the sashimi and gunkan were average but nothing special. Overall we ate well, but it was absolutely not worth the money we spent, which must also be justified by better service and dishes up to par (you can't price rolls for more than €20 and make me eat them with wooden chopsticks and saucers from IKEA)

We liked it and are avid sushi fans.. Ok maybe a little bit pricey but thats what you pay for high end sushi, big shout out to our Vietnamese waitress, she was really fantastic. This was for our last night of a weeks trip around Sicily & it did not disappoint! they have one dish of really creative sushi 10 peaces for £50.. but they were really special.
