05/02/2026: What a great meal! Tuscan cuisine at its best and authentic. I went with friends 25 years ago, and hoped it would be just as good many years later. It did not disappoint. The service is friendly. The beef tenderloin was fantastic, as well as the veal scallopine. I was shocked by the lower review numbers on TripAdvisor which made me a bit nervous about going. I’m so glad we did. One of our best meals in Florence. Highly recommend!

19/01/2026: A true Florentine classic, not to be missed! I would highly recommend Buca dell’Orfo, a true Florentine historical spot where locals go. It’s an authentic experience in Florence. I especially want to highlight the warm welcome and outstanding service from Ghigo, his lovely wife Costanza, and their daughter beautiful Allegra, who run the restaurant and make every guest feel truly pampered. The food is absolutely delicious from starters to desserts — some of the best pasta I’ve had in Italy. I particularly loved the green lasagna, the tortino, and the aglio e peperoncino pasta with scampo… simply amazing! The escarole and the meats were also excellent, it’s hard to choose a favorite. A soft spot not to be missed in Florence!
