The plate with the food is a bit small but the portion is actually quite large. I was very full after eating three snacks, a bowl of vegetables and two large dishes😁

We were very fortunate to have a cooking class with Chef Matteo earlier in the day and then an amazing dinner in the evening. Everything we tried was delicious and the ramen was a standout. This was definitely the highlight of our trip and we will definitely go back if ever in the area.

Excellent local spot. We visited this spot 3 nights during our 5 night stay in civitavecchia. The provolone fried Balls were my favorite. He has small to large portions nd a nice break away from your typical Italian pasta meals. He does change his menu from time to time as well to give the local people new food to try. But he said the provolone balls will always be on there.
I would definitely recommend this spot.
Thank u Mateo for all the help on where to visit during out stay in your country. I'm sure you remember us. 😄 🤣

From the moment we stepped into Otto.Zero, we knew we were in for something special. Matteo, the owner, greeted us warmly as we walked in, making us feel like guests in an old-world Italian restaurant. But once the food arrived, it became clear that Otto.Zero is anything but old-fashioned. Matteo's culinary creations draw from his global travels, infusing classic Italian flavors with modern twists to create dishes that are nothing short of masterpieces.
Unable to choose from the tempting larger plates, my wife and I opted for an assortment of Small Plates and let Matteo guide our selection. After asking a few questions to get a sense of our preferences, he curated the first six plates for us, which we shared. Each dish was outstanding, but the “Pork Tacos” and grilled octopus stood out as true highlights. We enjoyed them so much that we ordered another round of those, along with four additional dishes.
One of the most surprising delights was a dish featuring dried mushrooms. Initially, I wasn’t sure I’d be a fan, but the sauce was a revelation—it was so good, I suggested Matteo should bottle it! For dessert, we couldn’t resist the tiramisu and also tried the coconut cream with berries, which turned out to be the showstopper of the night. Its rich flavors and perfect balance left a lasting impression.
Matteo and his assistant, Julia, made our dining experience unforgettable. After weeks of indulging in great Italian food—including plenty of pizza—Otto.Zero stood out as a place where the palate truly comes alive. Do yourself a favor and visit Otto.Zero for a meal that will make your taste buds dance.

Wondered into this unique gem the night before our cruise. The classic rock music first caught my attention, then the good prices for wine, then discovered it is an Italian take on tapas. Everything was delicious and fairly priced. We ate a lot with 2 glasses of wine each and it was under 40 Euros per person. Highly recommend for a change of pace from pasta, pizza and panini!

High quality food along a beautiful walking street. The pace of the starters and main dishes was just right, not too slow but not too fast. Service was excellent in English.
