Beautiful place with a spectacular view. Good food, but be careful, as the portions are huge, enough for two. Unfortunately, the terrace isn't always available. Thank you and congratulations.

A very characteristic place. You can dine outdoors in the shade of tall trees and with a view of the Bay of Trieste. The atmosphere is naturally informal, as befits a trattoria. The staff is friendly, but not particularly welcoming. The wait is a bit long (it was lunch on the 15th of August, and the place was packed, so they're fully excused). The menu features fish and meat dishes, with traditional local dishes, mostly breaded and fried. I found everything particularly good, so I'd recommend the place. The prices are fair.

Luogo incantevole, cibo buono e piatti curati. Ottimo l'antipasto di pesce, buoni i primi e i secondi (frittura di pesce).

Cena con un gruppo di amici. Location dichiaratamente da trattoria ma con un giardino ed una vista veramente bella. Purtroppo era freddo e abbiamo dovuto mangiare all'interno. Sala da pranzo piccola affollata e con soffitto basso pertanto un rumore micidiale ( anche il proprietario ad un certo punto ha invitato ad abbassare la voce. Menù di pesce senza infamia e senza lode tranne i fritti che sono buoni e per nulla unti. In rapporto alla spesa si mangia bene, in assoluto direi appena sufficiente. Ci tornerò in estate perchè penso che in giardino si stia benissimo.

Pizzeria Assaje - Trieste

03/10/2025: Pizzeria too famous for Ok pizza! There are much better ones in Trieste! The pizza guy shouts, the fights spill out non-stop, the other waiters act like it's the most normal thing! Extremely strange atmosphere, I would never go there again or recommend it
