Osteria Vecchio Vicolo In Firenze

My husband and i found this restaurant by coincidence. It is one of the best restaurants we tried in Florence, i really loved the food, it was delicious and fresh. You can feel that the food was made with love, i just can’t get over it.The staff was friendly and nice. Our visit was on January 2023. I wish i could travel back to Florence just to dine there again.

I can't stress enough how wonderful the staff of this great restaurant are. Go, don't think just go. We went three times in seven days to see them.

Delicious food! The long pizzas were amazing, very thin and tasty, the tortellini pasta with burrata was also good! Vegeterian/halal options available (i think they could also remove bacon if requested). Overall definitely recommend.

This was our first family trip to Italy during the week of Christmas 2024, we were starving and jet-lagged after a long flight. We stumbled upon this delightful restaurant and were greeted with warm smiles and a friendly welcome. Arriving before 6 PM, we found it relatively empty, as we understand the locals dine later. My teenage daughter is a allergic to nuts, a significant concern for our first meal in Italy. The lady owner was incredibly welcoming, immediately addressing our concerns. She ensured none of our dishes contained nuts and even offered to prepare a separate, delicious pasta dish for my daughter. This thoughtful hospitality, combined with the authentic Italian cuisine, significantly enhanced our first impression of Florence. In fact, my daughter declared this the best restaurant of our entire Italian trip!

Sheer authentic, the best pizza I have ever had, amazing aroma and great service

Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante. Es de aspecto casual y las pizzas son abundantes, pero el resto del menú es increíble. Teníamos el aperitivo de anchoa y mejillón, una pasta de pera con pecorino que es divino, frijoles y tocino, y puré de cerdo y papas. El postre era sorbete de mandarina con menta. Me saltaría la anchoa, solo porque era demasiado abundante (y delicioso). ¡La pasta de pera! El sorbete final fue de clase mundial.

We were absolutely delighted with our visit to this restaurant! The lobster pasta was simply exquisite — a true masterpiece, as if it had been lovingly prepared at home. Everything was served hot and fresh, and you could taste the attention to detail in every bite. In fact, before serving, they even showed us the lobster — it was fresh, which added a special charm to our evening. The service was exceptional! The owner greeted us with incredible warmth and care, and the attention to our every request was top-notch. Our waiter, who was from Algeria (unfortunately, we didn’t catch his name), was incredibly attentive and friendly, making our visit even more enjoyable. A special highlight of the evening was the unique pistachio dish they prepared just for us. It was something truly wonderful and will be remembered as a one-of-a-kind culinary experience.
