Osteria Valle In Todi

We went today, Sunday, February 15th. A pleasant surprise. We hadn't booked and were seated immediately. The food was carefully prepared and delicious, and the waitress was discreet and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend it; the prices were reasonable for the excellent quality of the food.

What a wonderful little place. Anna, the girl who welcomes you and oversees your meal, is incredibly kind and super sweet. The food is very good and beautifully presented. The bill is super fair. I found the atmosphere very nice and super clean, even the bathroom. Highly recommended!

A delightful lunch in Todi, with truly delicious traditional local cuisine, accompanied by an excellent bottle of wine. The service and hospitality were impeccable, despite the staff's very young age. I found them to be highly professional, kind, empathetic, and attentive to their customers. We had a lovely meal here on New Year's Day. They welcomed us with kindness and warmth, and served us delicious dishes. The photo printed on receipt paper, similar to a Polaroid, was a lovely idea, and a special thanks to the girl with the iron memory who accompanied us. Everything was delicious, perfect for vegetarians too; the bean soup, the carbonara with truffle, and the baked pumpkin delica were incredible! I highly recommend it!

After a day in Orvieto, on New Year's Day, under a light rain and cold, we decided to complete our tour with a stop in Todi. In the same weather and after a long walk, we noticed this simple yet bright and welcoming shopfront. A table was immediately reserved for us, even without a reservation. Our expectations weren't high, but they were incredibly met and far exceeded. The girls serving were attentive, highly knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly polite, with a complete knowledge of the dishes offered and the history that links them, or rather, traces their origins to these lands. The food, almost as a natural consequence, was of the highest quality and in generous portions, impeccable, and surprising. The price of the dinner was absolutely average for the area, or even slightly lower. The setting—very clean, simple yet rustic, and warm—the light, pleasant, and sober background music, and the intimate, calm, yet very intimate and familiar atmosphere made this visit, this tasting, and this experience truly unique and unforgettable. At a certain point during the dinner, I was speechless over the feeling of total well-being and satisfaction I felt... I can only offer my heartfelt compliments to the entire staff and the dining room staff, who were truly distinguished and deeply humane as well as professional. A rating of excellence, 10+++!!! There's not much to say; we were served by talented, knowledgeable, friendly women who were very attentive in explaining the dishes, both on and off the menu. We were certainly compensated for the bad experience we'd had the night before at a "restaurant" in a well-known local town. I'll keep that in mind when I pass through Todi.

The place is very nice, warm and welcoming, the young waitresses are kind and professional, and the dishes served are also good, but we had difficulty choosing because the menu was quite, too, limited.

Very close to the Church of San Fortunato, this osteria offers traditional Todina and Umbrian dishes in a pleasant and well-appointed setting. The service is attentive and friendly. The cuisine is a comfort to the palate: tasty and generous. The signature dish, Todina-style pigeon, is excellent. Excellent value. Recommended!

Excellent food, fast service, welcoming staff, attentive to customer needs. Very nice place, soft, relaxing atmosphere, with pleasant background music. We highly recommend it.

Even though we showed up on Saturday evening without a reservation, they immediately went out of their way to find a solution and seat us (there were 10 of us). The highlight of the osteria is the staff, especially Anna, who welcomed us, and especially our children, with such patience and kindness. She recommended the dishes well and never failed to smile. The background music was pleasant. The food, typical Umbrian, is excellent and served quickly. We definitely recommend it!
