A genuine trattoria in one of the most beautiful villages in the Hyblaean Mountains. The Formica brothers have divided the duties since opening: Pippo takes care of the dining room, explaining the dishes Sebastiano prepares in the kitchen, featuring a generous use of wild vegetables, unique cuts of meat like lattuchedda, and delicious tripe. The pappardelle with mountain truffles, bianchetto, and scorzone are unmissable.

We visited this restaurant for Epiphany, not our first time. I have to say, unfortunately, it has declined. There were eight of us, and the appetizers were very meager, not enough for everyone. The first courses were okay, but we didn't like them (clearly a matter of personal preference). We shared the second courses in pairs, and they weren't bad. There was no Coke available; you could only have water, wine, and 25cl soda. €35 per person. I don't think we'll be back.

Overall, an average experience. The staff was friendly and the food was good. I found the portions a bit small; I would have expected more, especially considering the price, which certainly isn't cheap, and the type of place. It's still worth a visit.

Cavaliere Formica never disappoints... his brother Chef is getting better and better... the tagliatelle del bosco, my favorite dish, is always better, the loaf with cheese and mushrooms is amazing... starters, desserts, and everything else is always top notch!!!

The food is delicious and high-quality, but the portions are tiny, and the owner is clearly tight-fisted. You'll leave feeling satisfied, but hungry and with a lighter wallet.

When thinking of visiting these areas, U Locale is the best choice you can make! Cuisine with typical old-world flavors, which over the years have not been influenced by modern trends. Fortunately, these are ancient flavors and authenticity that I personally love rediscovering! Although the restaurant is small, booking well in advance on weekends is a good idea. Mr. Formica and his brother are very kind and welcoming. The atmosphere takes you back years and years... excellent food.
