A fantastic little place in the historic village of Caselle in Pittari Angelo tells the story of this part of Cilento, which he then takes you on a gastronomic journey to slowly savor. I could talk about every single course, but that would spoil the surprise. I'll definitely be back.

Are you looking for a place to eat well, healthily, and know what you're eating, including where it's grown and when it was harvested? Then this is the osteria you shouldn't miss. I tried to book for a while, but it was worth the wait. Here, the food is like home cooking, with a balance of flavor and price, accompanied by kindness and helpfulness. The selection of appetizers that start with can be overwhelming. What's included? It's hard to say, the menu varies, but they cater to everyone's palates. Also, try the first courses; the tagliatelle pictured with mushrooms and sausage deserved more than a second helping. The meat is also excellent. A top rating. 💯

Everything is incredibly authentic, delicious, tasty, pleasant, welcoming, warm, and varied. It's my first time here, and I'm sure I'll be back many more times!

Angelo and his family are the soul of the place, and in every dish you can taste the history, hard work, and love behind every little element of their extensive menu. The price is fair for the quality of the products, but a bit expensive for the area. Parking is impossible, but even getting there requires a good knowledge of the area. The entrance is definitely not accessible to the disabled.

Spiegata. Praticata. Gustata. La sapienza del km0 è la principale qualità di questa osteria di Caselle in Pittari. Angelo non vi presenterà un menu a la carte ma offre un percorso di degustazione “a moduli”, nel quale ognuno potrà orientarsi a piacimento senza alcun rischio di perdersi. La parte del leone la fanno i piatti “poveri”, quelli più legati al territorio: paste (realizzate con grani coltivati dall’azienda agrituristica), verdure e ortaggi (idem), panificati. Poi insaccati e carni, il maiale viene sempre dall’azienda. Dire che anche una sola portata non fosse eccellente sarebbe denigratorio. Qualità, gusto, digeribilità. Sempre a livelli eccelsi. Ma il plus è la cultura nutrizionisti a di Angelo, per nulla avaro di spiegazioni e consigli. Si esce dal locale sazi e consapevoli del perché in questo territorio si può mangiare ad un livello eccezionale. Tradizione si, ma nella capacità di farla convivere con la scienza. I QR code che, a richiesta, vi vengono forniti, vi danno tutte le informazioni che potrete desiderare. Venire in questo posto remoto e scoprire tanta vitalità è rassicurante. Si può ancora sperare in un futuro migliore…
