The place is excellent for the location, it is located about 10 minutes from the station and close to the center. We ended up here by pure chance, we didn't know the place. The food was great, although I would like to make an observation on the mix of starters, it was excellent but the portion was really small. Considering what was served and what was eaten in other areas, the price was more than exaggerated. The fact that the glass of wine was included in the appetizer mix was excellent (a more than generous portion, it accompanied the entire meal). However, the selection of wines by the glass is limited. Delicious seafood fregola, the dessert is also excellent. The place is welcoming, very simple, nothing special. Poorly maintained bathroom, honestly dirty, it looked like something had exploded. A few notes on the service, for my personal taste certain types of humor are not to my liking, I prefer a detached, kind and professional attitude (there being no kind of intimacy). Very unpleasant was the fact that, several times, I was bumped with a shoulder by the waiter while he was picking up or putting something on the table. Service to improve!

Absolutely worth trying. Every time we return to Cagliari, a visit to the Tabarchina tavern is worth the trip. The prawns in filo pastry are delicious as is the tuna caprese. Obviously the specialty of the menu is the constant presence of Carloforte tuna, an Italian but even more Sardinian excellence. Quality and goodness come together in a single ingredient which alone makes any dish superb. To return as always with great pleasure. Ormai sono diversi anni che trovandomi a Cagliari sia per un giorno soltanto o per più giorni vado a mangiare sempre all'Osteria Tabarchina, sia a pranzo che a cena in ogni stagione dell'anno. Ebbene nonostante abbia gustato tutte le varie delizie contenute nel loro menù, ogni volta è sempre una nuova scoperta che va ben oltre la mera necessità di cibarsi. La cucina dell'Osteria Tabarchina pur essendo strettamente legata alla tradizione Ligure, Africana e Sarda, è sempre alla ricerca di nuove mescolanze di sapori che esaltino sempre più le materie prime di eccellenza, come il loro "maiale di mare", il tonno rosso, che sanno preparare in tanti modi originali. Vi consiglio di gustare: le cozze alla ligure, la caprese alla carlofortina, la tartare di tonno rosso e il pasticcio alla carlofortina...una vera bontà!

We returned to eat 1 year later because we already had a pleasant memory. Everything perfect! Friendly and attentive staff, excellent food with generous portions and excellent quality/price ratio! I recommend it for both lunch and dinner!
