Osteria sottosella In Pisa

Everything was beautiful and tasty. I'm giving it 2 stars not for the waiters' service, but for the way it was served. I personally don't like having to discuss what to order for everyone with my guests, especially if the portions are just right. For just over €30, I ended up having a spoonful of gnocchi with gorgonzola (which I would have dived into) and a spoonful of tagliatelle with wild boar. For the two main courses, I wanted tripe, which no one wanted, and unfortunately, I can't swallow the tagliata. So, that's what I had for dinner, two spoonfuls of first course. If I had had my choice, then I would have given it 10 stars. I hope you understand that sometimes you can't combine people's choices, and that another approach would be more appropriate.

I went to Osteria Sottosella for a birthday dinner, and with the €30 menu, we had a wonderful meal: you can choose between two first courses (we chose pappardelle with wild boar and ravioli with burrata and cherry tomatoes, both excellent), two second courses (we chose tagliata with potatoes and a very good peposo), and finally, a selection of amazing desserts (the brownies and tarts were top-notch! 🫶🏼). The quality/price ratio is truly excellent for the quality of the food, I'll definitely be back!

They have a somewhat unusual menu format, but one I personally really appreciate: the set menu includes two first courses and two second courses. Desserts are served on a platter with many tastings. The menu is very varied, featuring local products, including the ravioli with Mucco Pisano ragù. The fried food was also very good and dry (which is not always the case). Water and wine are included and served at the table upon arrival. Prices are more than fair. Advance reservations are recommended.

Invited to lunch for a First Communion. Beautiful, peaceful, and quiet place. Authentic food, superbly cooked. Excellent wine and attentive service. I'll definitely be back!

Fantastic experience. I ordered the €30 menu, everything was delicious. If I had one small criticism, it was the hotter starters. Otherwise, it was fantastic.
