My boyfriend and I went here for dinner. Super welcoming and pleasant environment. Friendly and helpful staff, without ever being intrusive. Excellent food quality and price. Various proposals for vegetarians and delicious bigoli. We ate well, we felt comfortable, we left happy. We'll be back.

Really characteristic tavern, friendly staff, but the service is a bit questionable, because it's always bad to have the dishes arrive at the table at different times between diners. All in all good food, but there are two sore points: the first is the not generous portions (to be honest the same dish arrived in different "sizes" between the various diners), then the biggest problem, the Tiramisu made with saiwa gold (or similar).... but is it legal in Veneto? For this reason alone I removed a star!

Old style tavern, with friendly and welcoming staff.
We took the Bigoli with white ragù (very good) and the ones with anchovy sauce (violent but good beyond all logic).
The sardine in saor starter was also exceptional.
The place is aesthetically warm and welcoming and although not in the center of Padua, it can be reached with a short walk. I didn't find any negative sides, and I ate very well!
PS: We were very curious about the tiramisu but we were exploding, next time!
(I recommend booking as it was full on Saturday evening, and on Sunday at lunch it was also crowded)

I like San Leonardo for its old tavern atmosphere and for the menu it offers but this time dinner was a bit "bittersweet". Although the dishes were all very enjoyable, the service left a lot to be desired. Good for the menu, original and inviting, with proposals that satisfied us.
The service, however, was a bit improvised, the dining room staff seemed inexperienced and disorganised, with obvious difficulties in managing tables and orders. The courses arrived in fits and starts, one at a time per diner (there were 4 of us), with long waits, forcing us to eat the cold dishes or start eating alone. The "hiccups" distribution of dishes favored differences in the quantity of food, the same type of food, served in the different dishes. Greater attention and attention to orders would avoid these truly unpleasant "single plate" exits. Last but not least: we had not been informed of the "shift" service and, at the end of the dinner, we were (politely) invited to vacate the table.
San Leonardo has great culinary potential, service needs improvement. The flavors won us over, but the overall experience was compromised by overall unprofessional service. The hope is that the restaurant can adequately train its staff and offer an experience worthy of its cuisine.

We chose this place as a Venetian place to show for my family. The service and food was very good! We came for dinner on Sunday and everything was delicious and fast! We tried pasta, polenta with baccala and other dishes! House wine and tiramisu – 100/10! Thank you :)
