Excellent food, really good appetizers, first courses, and second courses.
It's a shame about the service, which was really slow even though the place wasn't crowded.

A wonderful discovery in Padua: Osteria San Leonardo, found by chance on St. Stephen's Day. What a delightful surprise! Everything was delicious, with a special mention for the scallops and calf's liver, which were absolutely superb. A very friendly osteria and a great place to eat in Padua. We will definitely return on our next visit. 🍷

I was there at Christmas with my family and we had a wonderful meal! Every course was a discovery of flavors. The staff is extremely kind and the owners are attentive and attentive, taking care of every detail with passion. The service is prompt and the atmosphere is welcoming. A well-deserved five stars, I highly recommend it to everyone!

We booked through The Fork, and upon arrival, the restaurant seemed very charming, in a tavern style, although the temperature inside wasn't entirely pleasant, a bit too cold.
The timing between courses wasn't exactly quick, but we were on vacation, so it didn't bother us too much. The situation was different for the young woman who, while we were eating, started cleaning the next table, sending an unpleasant cloud of product to our table and our plates as well (perhaps she could have waited, since it was nearing closing time and she certainly didn't need the table cleaned quickly).
The dishes we ordered were good quality, tasty, and well-served (except for the bigoli with courtyard ragu, which was a bit too salty), although in some cases we found the prices a bit excessive (five meatballs as an appetizer, €13; desserts, €6 and €7, in somewhat small portions...).
The unpleasant surprise came when we looked at the receipt at home and saw that we'd been charged €2 for the empty plates we shared with two appetizers. Given the somewhat unpopular prices and the €2.50 cover charge, it didn't make a good impression. Furthermore, we hadn't requested any extra dishes (we were family and could easily have nibbled from both plates), and above all, the cost didn't seem to be listed on the menu, as would be good practice.
Overall, despite the food, it unfortunately made the experience a bit unpleasant and makes us think we won't be returning...

We booked for lunch after a Saturday in the city. The atmosphere was pleasant, though a little chilly.
The food was overall pleasant and well-executed, though the courtyard ragù was perhaps a little too salty.
The prices, frankly, were a bit high for an osteria (€13 for five meatballs as an appetizer - €7 for dessert).
This also made it even more disappointing to find the price of empty plates on the receipt, served to share two appetizers between four people.
I don't think we'll be back.
