Extremely good kitchen and food. All extremely delicious. Not easy to find nowadays. Old school quality.

Excellent food! We ordered traditional carbonara and gricia, both excellent! The tiramisu was also very good!

Cozy and authentic little osteria with great food

Wow. What a surprise meal for us. The most quaint and cozy atmosphere but the service and owner are decades memorable! Downstairs is a history treat, the food is comforting and delicious, and all else of the restaurant is all it can be, to exceed our hopes. A+ You can’t go wrong!

Very nice staff, top notch service. The food was great, including the cheeses. The waiter-owner showed us around the wine cellar, which he is certainly proud of. Nice place to sit with great food while browsing through Rome. Highly recommended!

What an amazing meal and experience! We stumbled with this gem by the magic of walking in the streets of Rome and it was one of the best meals I had. The host and personnel were very kind and made us feel at home from the start. The food was outstanding: the antipasti for appetizer, and then the lamb alla cacciatore and gnocchi were absolutely incredible. A definitely must have. I wish I had more plates at this delicious restaurant! The homemade tiramisu for dessert was the cherry on top. Osteria Romana has also a downstairs wine cellar area with tables with historic Roman art that you cannot miss. Bring cash as it is the preferred payment method.

The tomato and cheese dumplings and the grilled sea bass were delicious, the clam pasta was just average, and the manager was very enthusiastic 😂 He even showed us the collection on the floor and photos of celebrities they had met at the restaurant. The next table started having three rounds of Italian singing 😂 As an introverted Asian, I was initially drawn in by the atmosphere, but later I found it a bit noisy qaq But the food was delicious!

We walked into Osteria Romana di Simmi by chance — and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Rome! The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere cozy and authentic, and the staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming — we truly felt like guests, not just customers. We were even treated to a complimentary tiramisu, which was absolutely delightful — a thoughtful and generous gesture that made our experience even more memorable. While there, we also learned that the restaurant has hosted many famous guests, including Bill Clinton, Jane Fonda, George Clooney and others. The restaurant is spacious, with several beautifully decorated rooms, each with its own unique charm and elegance.
