Wow. What a surprise meal for us. The most quaint and cozy atmosphere but the service and owner are decades memorable! Downstairs is a history treat, the food is comforting and delicious, and all else of the restaurant is all it can be, to exceed our hopes. A+ You can’t go wrong!

Very nice staff, top notch service. The food was great, including the cheeses. The waiter-owner showed us around the wine cellar, which he is certainly proud of. Nice place to sit with great food while browsing through Rome. Highly recommended!

What an amazing meal and experience! We stumbled with this gem by the magic of walking in the streets of Rome and it was one of the best meals I had. The host and personnel were very kind and made us feel at home from the start. The food was outstanding: the antipasti for appetizer, and then the lamb alla cacciatore and gnocchi were absolutely incredible. A definitely must have. I wish I had more plates at this delicious restaurant! The homemade tiramisu for dessert was the cherry on top. Osteria Romana has also a downstairs wine cellar area with tables with historic Roman art that you cannot miss. Bring cash as it is the preferred payment method.

The tomato and cheese dumplings and grilled sea bass were delicious, the clam pasta was just okay, the manager was very enthusiastic 😂 and showed us the collections in the basement and photos of celebrities that had been received by their store. The table next to us started singing in Italian style 😂 The introverted Asian was infected by the atmosphere at first, but later found it a bit noisy qaq But it was delicious!

We walked into Osteria Romana di Simmi by chance — and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Rome! The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere cozy and authentic, and the staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming — we truly felt like guests, not just customers. We were even treated to a complimentary tiramisu, which was absolutely delightful — a thoughtful and generous gesture that made our experience even more memorable. While there, we also learned that the restaurant has hosted many famous guests, including Bill Clinton, Jane Fonda, George Clooney and others. The restaurant is spacious, with several beautifully decorated rooms, each with its own unique charm and elegance. We highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone visiting Rome — it’s a perfect mix of tradition, warmth, and taste. Thank you for your kindness and support. Guests from Ukraine.

A lovely experience for our family’s first visit to Rome away from the busy streets that we won’t forget! A visit to the wine cellar, then dinner and wine. The lamb, carbonara, ravioli and meatballs were devine. Our favorite was the lamb. So glad friends recommended and we saw BBC video about the restaurant.

Al azar terminamos cenando en este restaurante después de que nuestra elección inicial estaba completamente reservada, y estábamos agradecidos de que lo fuera. La experiencia fue absolutamente increíble — el servicio no podría haber sido mejor, y la comida estaba fuera de este mundo. Volvería a Roma solo para comer en este restaurante de nuevo; será el número uno en mi lista.

29/06/2025: I wanted to experience Italian Michelin, so I made a reservation. It wasn't crowded. I ordered a 6-course meal to try the signature menu, and I felt that they put a lot of effort into the desserts in addition to the courses. I think they put a lot of thought into the desserts before the course and after the course, from the display to the composition. The truffle-infused marshmallows I had before the meal were a really unique experience. The menu that came out as carbonara was like a soup made with cream and cheese inside eggs without pasta noodles. I didn't use a fork or knife once during the course. They kept giving me a new spoon every time the menu changed. The creamy fish soup in the shape of tiramisu was also unique. The food was small enough to be eaten in one bite, but I felt quite full after eating it. I don't know much about Italian wine, so I drank a bottle of cheap wine that was recommended, and it was delicious. Since I'm used to stimulating flavors, it was good to savor the flavors of each menu that brought out the original flavors of the ingredients. It was a unique experience to see the dishes with my eyes rather than the taste, and to see how they broke away from the composition of existing famous dishes and made them into new interpretations. Oh, and the store is in the basement of the hotel.
