Osteria Rio del Sole In Albairate

First time at this restaurant, I was disappointed by the consistency of the pizza. I would have expected something better considering the €15 price tag. The acoustics on the terrace where we dined were, in my personal opinion, very annoying. If there's a next visit, maybe we'll try the less expensive version.

Excellent food, various combinations with delicious pairings

I decided to book a table at this restaurant for my mother-in-law's birthday. Given the reviews, I had very high expectations... and they were perfectly met. Let's start with the "little things." We were greeted by a very young staff, but they were smiling, attentive, and never intrusive. Likewise, the manager chatted with us a bit, explaining the place's philosophy and the story behind their dishes. I love this part of the restaurant business, when there's a thought beyond the food. We were accompanied by two dogs, who immediately got their own bowl of water... and were also cuddled during the service. As a welcome, we were offered homemade bread, a marvel, and a cacciatorino that melted in our mouths. The dishes were each better than the last, full of tradition, but with that touch of innovation that manages to improve, if possible, typical and characteristic dishes. To accompany them, a wine list, almost an encyclopedia, of wines from all over the region. To conclude, the desserts were perfectly worthy. Will we be back? Absolutely! In the meantime, I took home their giardiniera, something exceptional!

Hospitality and customer service are the hallmarks of the restaurant, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The restaurant, located in the village of Riazzolo in the Albairate countryside, is easily accessible. The beautifully renovated farmhouse features well-arranged tables on two levels. Local products and traditional recipes with a modern twist. I recommend not stuffing yourself with the gnocco fritto and excellent cured meats if you've chosen the tasting menu. Compliments to the entire staff.
