I can't quite describe the feeling I felt when we walked through the doors of Osteria Ra Ca 'D Baruc other than returning to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of home. It might have been the way they greeted you as if you were an old customer you hadn't seen in a while, or the exposed brick walls, the beams, or the roaring fireplace... perhaps all of them combined. There's no set menu, just a series of dishes, each more delicious than the last, based on Piedmontese tradition with a few twists to make them even better. I think it will become the place we'll go with family to celebrate important and less important events.

A truly beautiful and characteristic place, good food, friendly and helpful staff (they even offered a vegetarian menu without warning), and excellent value. Don't miss it if you're in the area.

The atmosphere is relatively quiet, with a fireplace (lit), exposed beams, and first-rate service. A small welcome appetizer followed by appetizers (all excellent), some classic, others a very successful reinterpretation. Two main courses: agnolotti del plin (handmade) and tajarin. Then we moved straight on to desserts (superb) and coffee. We'll definitely be back...

A truly excellent experience, the dishes are delicious and carefully prepared, and the house wine is a guarantee. We had a wonderful time, and they even accepted my little dog.

A day trip with my family and my colleague, his wife, and another lady friend. We joined them at their invitation, as they already knew the restaurant and its delicacies, and we were delighted to join, having been nostalgic for the food and the place for some time. Let's start with the restaurant. Not a lot of seats, but well-arranged in a characteristic and tastefully decorated space. Very warm and welcoming. Those who enjoy visiting rustic establishments will certainly be delighted. We had our baby's stroller, which found its place without obstructing the other guests or the wait staff. They seated us at our table, let us choose what we wanted to drink, and from there the dancing began. The menu, if I'm not mistaken, is both à la carte and set. I remember we didn't choose anything and let the set menu do the honor of delighting our palates. And the choice was spot on. With the wines, an excellent Prosecco to accompany the appetizers. Delicious and satisfying, as well as characteristic. For the first courses, we moved on to Barbera. And in the meantime, an excellent bottle of 2017 Barolo popped up and evaporated... along with the meat main courses. Then, just because it was my colleague's birthday and we ate his delicious cake, we heard (let's go from memory, hoping we're right) that among the desserts there was a bunet, cheesecake, and baked apples. We skipped it, but it will certainly be a great opportunity to return and do the whole tour from start to finish. I apologize if I missed some of the main courses in the photos, but I was so busy enjoying them that I forgot ☺️☺️☺️ In short, it's a place I'll happily return to enjoy these delicacies. It's definitely a place that pleasantly surprised me, and I highly recommend it for the food, the hospitality, and the location. The price is definitely fair for what you get. And besides, if the food is good and high-quality, it deserves its due recognition. Congratulations to Giovanni (the host) and his staff. See you soon.

An excellent dinner in a timeless location. The dishes were all excellent and beautifully reinterpreted. The price was reasonable. You can choose between two menus: 1. €29 for 4 appetizers, 1 first/second course, and dessert. 2. €35 for 4 appetizers, 1 first course, 1 second course, and dessert. You can choose a sampling of the 2 first courses, 2 second courses, and a trio of desserts.

We've been there twice for lunch with friends, the menu was decided by the restaurant with several courses, we went for seconds, excellent value for money, very kind waiters... it's a shame it's a bit far from our home to go there often.

A beautiful, traditional restaurant with countless nooks and crannies filled with historical artifacts. I chose the vegetarian option and had a wonderful time. I enjoyed both the appetizers and the tajarin in bianco. The trio of desserts was all delicious.

A warm, welcoming, family-run osteria of yesteryear. Excellent food and a varied wine selection. Not to be missed during a visit to the Alta Langa.

L'Osteria del Vignaiolo

03/03/2026: Classy osteria. A charming place, from the attentive, friendly, professional staff to the authentic, refined food, presented in a way worthy of a Michelin-starred chef. The wine selection is superb and extensive, highly recommended for pairing with the dishes. The service is impeccable, patient, and incredibly kind, even with children. The ample, off-street parking is very convenient and practical. There are only a few rooms, and we even stayed in them. Breakfast and a good night's sleep were also excellent.

L'Ostu sul Cantun

22/02/2026: Excellent food. I want to highlight the great attention paid to children. Finally, a restaurant that has plenty of high chairs and sanitizes them between uses. The children's food arrived in record time, and there was plenty of space for them to play.
14/02/2026: Conveniently located near the A6 motorway exit, we booked by phone half an hour in advance. The restaurant is simple, traditional Piedmontese. We opted for a tasting menu (three appetizers, two first courses, a second course with two side dishes, and dessert), while the other diner had an appetizer and a first course. Excellent food, carefully crafted with quality local ingredients, Piedmontese cuisine. We ordered mineral water and house wine, and as soon as we sat down, we were offered a taste of moccetta (a type of pork sausage) with chopped hazelnuts and honey, served with an apple fritter. Two coffees and a digestif. Total: €70 for two people. I recommend the risotto with Bù di Langa wine and beetroot. Very fast service.
