Great little gem of a place, the pork and lamb was wonderful.
Loads of history and everyone was lovely. Would definitely recommend it.

The ambiance is definitely this restaurant's strong point: very refined, with an original and evocative touch. We dined in a cellar-style room, with an open kitchen behind glass walls, from which we could watch the chefs at work. The kitchen window also offered a splendid view of the sunset over the surrounding hills, truly impressive.
The service was attentive and precise, perhaps even too quick: the main course arrived immediately after the main course, leaving no time for a short break. This wasn't a serious detail, but it made the meal feel a bit more rushed than necessary.
The food was very good. We started with an entrée (we don't remember the exact contents, but it was tasty), followed by tagliatelle with truffle, a generous portion and generously distributed truffles. The pici with ragù and the suckling pig as a main course were also excellent: rich dishes, well-executed, and served in generous portions, so much so that we skipped dessert.
The attention to bread was also much appreciated: each diner had a dedicated plate with space for Tuscan olive oil, so they could enjoy it as an appetizer or as an accompaniment to their main courses. A simple but thoughtful detail.
We paired everything with a glass of Montepulciano recommended by the staff, which paired perfectly with the courses.
Overall, a very pleasant experience, especially for the atmosphere and the quality of the dishes. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant is quite popular.

In giro per la Toscana con i cugini Brasiliani non poteva mancare di visitare Montepulciano, località molto turistica dove, in genere, si trovano solo ristoranti "per turisti". Ma non è questo il caso: accoglienza, location e cucina di ottima qualità. Personale professionale e gentilissimo, interno del locale molto caratteristico, materia prima di qualità e ottimamente cucinata, agnello ottimo, guancia fantastica, bistecca alla fiorentina degna del suo nome, pici fatti in casa al ragù deliziosi... ristorante consigliatissimo!
