Group of 6. Fast service, generous and tasty portions. Large, tasty pizzas. Too bad they spilled on the coffee...a real toilet flush!!! It's a real shame...coffee is a pleasure...if it's not good, what a pleasure is it? 🤷

Excellent pizza and appetizers, such as fish, fast even if not totally available

Tonight we went to try this osteria above Montale; I'd heard good things about it. The osteria is located inside a Casa del Popolo (People's House), where there's also very convenient parking. We preferred to eat outside under a gazebo. The service was very fast, and the portions and pizza were really large and plentiful. We had coccoli and prosciutto, seafood crostinata, spaghetti allo scoglio (spaghetti with seafood), a large grill, grilled vegetables, calamari alla Viareggina (Viareggio-style), a pizza with sausages, and a portion of fries. Considering what we ate, the bill was reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent osteria for reasonably priced seafood, with generous and very tasty appetizers. Unfortunately, I didn't like the pizza (you'll understand, being from Naples), but for those accustomed to that type of pizza, it's not bad. The waiters are very friendly and approachable, always present and always ready to satisfy their guests' needs. I'll definitely return if I have the chance.

We haven't been back in a long time, but as always... great food. Excellent food and very fast service. The wait staff is very friendly. The fried food, in my opinion, is top notch. Portions are generous and the quality is excellent. Prices are average for fish. Excellent!

Everything was excellent, from the seafood salad to the fried fish to the desserts. The prices were very fair for the quality of the food. I recommend it!

*** Review for seafood only *** The restaurant offers the three traditional dishes: meat, fish, and pizza. I can't comment on the meat. As for the pizza, having seen it at the nearby tables, I can say they use a lot of toppings; it's quite rich. The pizza base, however, doesn't seem like much to me. It's the "classic Tuscan pizza" (which is already atypical in itself), a thin crust, and a thin crust. Nothing like Neapolitan pizza. I can't comment on the taste, but they say it's very good, but I don't think I'll try it, as that's not my style of pizza. As for the meat, however, I plan to return at the first opportunity to try the dishes offered. Regarding the fish, however, I have to say they have a few dishes, but they're very well-stocked and tasty. The photos show a gigantic appetizer (min. 2 people) that alone is worth almost the entire dinner. A mix of hot and cold dishes including peppered mussels, savory clam tart, marinated smoked salmon, calamari salad (delicious), baby octopus in sauce, and sea snails. Next up, a first course: Sardinian fregola with seafood. Very flavorful and tasty. The only flaw (in my opinion) is the unshelled sea wolfberries, which are a pain to eat :-) The most classic of fish main courses: mixed fried fish. Good, dry, rich, and tasty. Served with a side of French fries. I must say that, despite being in the heart of Tuscany, the fish here is well cared for and treated, cooked to perfection, and served in more than satisfying portions. The restaurant, just outside Montemurlo, in Fognano, is about 150 meters above sea level. Despite the heat of recent days, the outdoor terrace occasionally offered a pleasant breeze. The restaurant also has indoor dining areas and free private parking. The staff is friendly and helpful. Average prices for fish.

A place to eat divinely. We went there once by chance and since that day when we go to those areas, we try to stop to eat. If it were closer to where I live I would probably go there every day! The food is genuine, the portions are generous and the price is very honest, which is rare nowadays, but without losing quality, on the contrary.... The fish is great but also everything else. I have never tasted anything to complain about. I maintain that the table is probably good too 🤣 In addition to the excellent food, it is run by a wonderful family and the employees are also special. Jovial, professional, they do everything to make you feel good and are very kind! I am sure that you will not regret it, in fact you will probably create, as happened to me, that you can't wait to go back! Thank you all! Highly recommended!!!
