Unfortunately, I don't eat fish and I was a bit disappointed by the limited choice I had. It's a nice place, but in my opinion, it's not suitable for groups. You can't converse decently if you're a couple. The quality of the food is excellent, but it's quite expensive.

The place is very cute, but small, so reservations are practically mandatory. The dishes feature two local ingredients with fusion elements that are anything but crappy. The wine list is extensive and adequate, and the price is in line with the excellent selection. Definitely recommended!

The BEST MEAL we had after spending 3 full days in Assisi!!! We got awful experiences in other places, and, like a miracle, during our last dinner we found this AWESOME restaurant!!!’ We didn’t have reservations, so we started walking around the door before 19:30h (that’s when they open for dinner). So glad they could accommodate us! If you are in Assisi, it’s better to be safe than sorry: Book your table, you will not regret it! I will keep wonderful memories from this dinner! Food is beyond words. Service is the friendliest you will find anywhere you go. TOP!!!! 🔝 💯

Recommended to us and we are glad that it was, an amazing visit that is not to be missed if you have the opportunity to visit Assisi, recommended to book as the beautiful restaurant is small and fills quickly. The food was excellent as was the service, asked for recommendations for wine and about the food and all questions were answered and the recommendations were perfect. A wonderful experience of fusion and traditional taste that should not be missed.

Excellent food. We had the beef tartare and it was simply amazing (and I don’t eat raw meat). We also had 2 of their specialties and OMG how good they were.

Giovanile e conviviale ambiente,in cui la cucina tradizionale umbra e creative proposte "alternative" si alternano felicemente. Il locale si trova a pochi metri dalla piazza del Comune in una stradina tranquilla. Nel periodo estivo si avvale di una limitata e gradevole parte esterna,che nella serata della mia visita,é stata utilizzata temerariamente da pochi audaci avventori che sfidavano il forte vento freddo di grecale. Carta dei vini interessante,intercetta una clientela esigente e raffinata,specialmente per il segmento bollicine. Per una migliore armonia con quanto da me scelto, visto quanto presente nella prima parte del menu ,diciamo della"tradizione rivisitata",ho preferito un robusto e classico morellino di Scansano,dopo un assaggio del loro rosso di Montefalco che non mi ha convinto. Prezzo finale medio-alto.

Ristorante Coccorone

02/12/2025: In the heart of Montefalco, formerly known as Coccorone, we chose the eponymous restaurant for lunch last Saturday. The atmosphere, with its brick vaults and rustic charm, evokes the history of the village and the local gastronomic culture. The attentive and friendly service led us through Umbrian culinary tradition. We sampled typical appetizers (veal tartare, celery parmigiana, polenta flan with fondue and mushrooms), excellent first courses such as pappardelle with Sagrantino wine, gnocchi with goose sauce, and a truly delicious lasagna with white ragù. For main courses, the guinea fowl on crostone (a type of crusty bread) thrilled my wife because it reminded her of the one her grandmother (also Umbrian) used to make. The Chianina steak was incredibly tender and was a fitting accompaniment to grilled porcini mushrooms. While the tiramisu and chocolate panna cotta were complete and exquisite desserts, the chocolate, pear, and rum cake raised the bar even higher. Throughout lunch, we drank only one glass of Sagrantino—warm, elegant, and full-bodied. Montefalco is the land of Sagrantino, and Coccorone celebrates it to the fullest. After lunch, we visited the Montefalco Museum, a must-see to complete an experience that combines flavor, art, and history. Recommended for those seeking authentic Umbrian cuisine and a deep connection to tradition.
