We had lunch on Sunday, a group of 30. Excellent value for money. Excellent food, very fast service, and very friendly staff. Generous portions, vegetarian and gluten-free options available! They're dog-friendly. We've been coming here for about 2 years and have always felt right at home. Thank you for everything, and see you next time!

Abundance and goodness. An easy walk from Oprtalj, and you can even park. The first courses, the skewered meat, and the homemade cake are excellent.

Authentic mountain tavern, sincere cuisine without frills, friendly staff, honest prices

I want to start by issuing a warning - as other comments have mentioned the road to Osteria Pastina is quite daunting. Our rental (a gutless modern Chinese hybrid) couldn't make it all the way to the top - the CVT gearbox overheated and it said we had to stop to cool the transmission temp. So we parked half way and called the restaurant and the owner/worker came and drove us up in a rugged old-school 4x4 Mitsubishi. Other than the road to get there Osteria Pastina is a great rustic farm-type restaurant with amazing views of the lake. The starters were the best I've tasted in Italy even compared to very fancy restaurants. The grilled meats were good, some succulent, others a bit dry but generally it was good. I would however say that they were salty to my taste. The service was good and the staff were attentive. The price is very reasonable. I recommend and would certainly go back, either hiking or in a better car.

A place you can reach by eBike with a breathtaking view, where you can have a divine lunch: authentic, delicious, and generous. A welcoming osteria with very kind staff! We had a wonderful time: delicious tagliatelle, tender beef rib, and delicious desserts! Thank you! 🤗

A breathtaking view, a typical meal with family recipes served with a smile. This place has everything to seduce you. Be careful though: the road is narrow with many bumps, low cars are not recommended, lowered cars are strongly discouraged 😅
