I've been going there with my family for years, both for lunch and dinner. From appetizers to dessert, everything is delicious, including the house wine. It's never disappointed, with a varied menu that changes based on seasonal produce. Their must-haves, like panzanella, picchiapó-style boiled meat, and chicory meatballs, are my favorites. The staff is professional and makes you feel right at home.

The boiled meatballs were delicious, the offal was mmmm, I remember better ones. The carbonara, I'd say, was absolutely not—a very salty mess, so pale I doubted it was eggless. I stopped at the first course, not finishing it. The house red wine was unanimously judged "undrinkable." The atmosphere was truly chaotic, with eight people seated at a narrow table for six.

We had fettuccine with Frisona ragù, which was wonderful, and boiled meatballs with chicory, which were equally wonderful. Fair prices and friendly staff.

A real discovery: the food and drink were excellent! I had the appetizer and boiled meatballs: exceptional! Then, as I was leaving, I discovered that at another table there were chefs from Turin who were eating "de core" (as they say in Rome). I can't help but go back!

14/01/2026: As soon as we return to Milan, we're carrying Rome in our hearts, thanks in part to Settimio, an osteria unlike any other. Settimio is small, with just a few tables, and we were greeted with the utmost kindness by the two young men (sorry, I don't know their names), who were incredibly efficient and helpful. The food is amazing, top-notch quality, and generous portions. We arrived from the city center on bus 44, which drops us off just 5 meters from the restaurant. It was a long ride, but it was totally worth it. We ate the impossible without the slightest problem, and we no longer feel 20 years old. Kudos to the lady (again, I don't know her name) who put her heart and soul into this osteria—or rather, the heart of Rome! I almost forgot...the prices are truly those of someone who puts passion into it and doesn't care about profit. Absolute congratulations from Milan!

28/01/2026: Had a fantastic dinner here during our time in Rome. The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and really well-balanced flavours. Everything we ordered felt thoughtful and well prepared, and you could tell a lot of care goes into the cooking. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience even better. It felt like the kind of place you could happily sit and enjoy a long, unrushed meal. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Rome and looking for a great dinner spot. We’d happily come back.
24/01/2026: I've eaten at this restaurant several times now, and I can confidently say it's one of my favorites in Rome. The food is excellent, the staff is very welcoming, and the atmosphere is pleasant and elegant. Highly recommended!
