02/05/2025: I went to this pizzeria for dinner during a stay in Paestum on May 1st. I hadn't booked, but it wasn't very crowded anyway. There were 2 of us and we ordered a pistachio croquette (3 euros), a Regina margherita pizza (7 euros) with San Marzano DOP tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, basil, EVO oil and then we took a gourmet pizza called Gerry (9 euros) with San Marzano DOP tomatoes, diced Caserta black pig bacon, Tropea onion, cooked rocket, baked cherry tomatoes, pecorino Romano DOP.
We initially ordered the Gustosa but the waitress then warned us that the veal meatballs didn't fit and so we opted for the Gerry. The wait wasn't long. We split the pizzas so you could enjoy both flavors. Let's get to the tastings. The pizza dough was very light, even though I felt weighed down until the next morning. The spectacular Gerry pizza, the ingredients went very well together, they went together perfectly, the cheese gave that extra touch. Queen Margherita, certainly good, but who knows, she didn't tell us, it looked more like a classic Margherita, you couldn't feel that the mozzarella was buffalo. We clearly preferred the Gerry pizza. In total we will have spent around 20 euros or something, I haven't seen the receipt, I don't know if the cover charge was also paid. To drink we had a sparkling water.
A definitely good pizza for a dinner without too many pretensions.
