Osteria Monelli In Vicenza

Excellent cod and really nice place

The center of Vicenza is small, but carefully cared for in every detail. Even the night lighting highlights the architectural beauties. And it is during this evening walk that I come across this restaurant, small but welcoming. A warm and lively place in the heart of the city. At the table we are immediately served with courtesy and efficiency. I take the cod with polenta and I do not regret it. Tasty to the right point, with the flavors that come together without overlapping. I also try the spinach tagliatelle, which are certainly good, even if I would have preferred a greater push from the asparagus that remain a bit anonymous. The tagliatelle are excellent, very well pulled and with a good roughness. Last but not least, the bill that turned out to be fair, without excess.

Weekend in Vicenza... walking through the historic center we discovered this tavern, we stopped for dinner and it was a nice choice. Excellent food, young and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend it.

Osteria Monelli is always a guarantee, local dishes, many wines by the glass, perhaps the prices are a little high, but I know little about the reality of Vicenza

Osteria Monelli is a place that will win you over!!! A welcoming room, with an almost open kitchen! Exquisite and delicate dishes, prepared with exceptional raw materials and truly surprising bottles. The staff are attentive, friendly and prepared. We had a wonderful evening, we really felt at home. Thank you! If you pass through Vicenza don't miss this experience!

Tried it for a typical dinner with my girlfriend. Nice little place, simply furnished and with professional and non-invasive staff. Ordered bigoli with duck ragù and Vicenza-style cod: really well made and generous portions. The wine choices are also good, especially the one they offer. In total with two dishes each plus coffee and final dessert we spent less than 100 euros. Little gem, the amaro offered after paying! I highly recommend it and I will happily return!!
