Small, well furnished and harmonious place, I was expecting something rustic being a tavern, but instead it was quite elegant, very kind and friendly staff, and excellent cuisine. I recommend it, the craft beer served is excellent.

My partner and I went for dinner, nice and well-kept environment, excellent service.. Good food, we had a very good horse tartare, good wine and their revisited tiramisu....

First time in this nice and elegant place... recommended for a dinner with friends, the staff is very friendly and the dishes are very good.
I can't give 5 stars because there are small things to fix.
However, I highly recommend it.

We had dinner with a couple of friends on the evening of August. Very nice location, very clean and very knowledgeable, competent and kind staff.
Divine dinner with starters, first courses and desserts cooked in a particular way and delicious.
I highly recommend it, we will definitely be back.

Since 2014, the Osteria Mea culpa in Borgomanero has been led by chef Emanuele who has transformed this place, initially serving Japanese cuisine, into a bistro suitable for business lunches and convivial dinners. Watson and I investigate it on a warm August evening, arriving as usual at the evening opening at 7pm. We are, as often happens, the first guests of the restaurant which contrasts modern and brightly colored furnishings with a vaulted brick structure. on sight: the whole is pleasant even if a little cold, perhaps slightly warmer lights would be beneficial. The staff welcomes us with courtesy and makes us sit at our table where the two seats are served with a chair on one side and a bench which also serves the tables next to ours as it is placed along the wall. The menu is well thought out: fresh and tasty, with the majority of fish-based dishes. We therefore decide on an appetizer of tuna tartare with fennel, citrus fruits and horseradish: the contrast between the spicy horseradish and the sweet fennel is perfect and the citrus fruits refresh the raw tuna. As a first course, spaghetti with scampi and rocket with chilli pepper and as a second course, a classic sea bass, cherry tomatoes and potatoes, light and tasty. To conclude, a suitably sweet and thirst-quenching sorbet. We accompany dinner with a bottle of Oudeis Alta Langa classic method by Enrico Serafino: very fresh and very right. For two with a mineral water and 1 coffee we spend €154. A reassuring place (most of the customers seem to be from home), informal to the right degree with excellent cuisine where tradition and modernity marry perfectly.

Barbera risotto was extraordinary to say the least, then there was the Milanese cutlet. Thick on one side and very thin on the other so raw on one side and only breading on the other. A "lightness" hence, perhaps, the name of the place. In the quality/price ratio, the balance tips towards the price.

We were passing through. On Sunday the town is deserted but fortunately we came across this excellent restaurant. Unfortunately we dedicated little time to the meal but already on the phone to reserve the table the kindness was captivating. The place is very nice and welcoming, the staff excellent, very kind, very professional and friendly. The food could only be a consequence... an excellence. We will be back soon at a more leisurely pace to taste everything!!
