I have now tasted all the first courses offered and I must say that they are all good so giving an opinion is complicated For the second courses, a special mention goes to the peposo The bread and biscuits are produced by them The "house wine" is also very good

Locale un po' fuori dal centro e scelto perché vicino all'albergo dove stavamo. Ambiente tranquillo, rustico e confortevole. I primi ci sono piaciuti, ma lo Stracotto è stato da applauso... veramente buono. Un ringraziamento a Maurizio e Mirna che con la loro cortesia e ospitalità ci hanno fatto sentire a casa.

Very good food. Slowfood award and lots of homemade products such as bread, pasta, etc. Definitely worth a visit.

La cameriera era simpaticissima, ci ha accolto ed è stata molto gentile, il cibo è molto buono, gli antipasti e i secondi costicchiano ma la varietà di sughi è impressionante. Il locale è ben arredato e avvogliate ma la location esterna non è un gran che(vicino ad una strada di scorrimento, anche se non è affatto rumoroso. L’atmosfera è molto tranquilla

This is a delightful little restaurant mainly patronised by locals, the food is excellent and the service calm and efficient. The steak I had was beautifully cooked and melted like butter in the mouth. You need to trust the chef to cook it to perfection. A thick piece of meat cannot be ‘well done’ because if it is it will be like leather. The meat has to be served ‘rare’ so if you do not like rare meat this is not for you. Definitely recommend.

I veri sapori della tradizione. Appena fuori dal centro storico di Firenze c’è questo ristorante, piccolo, intimo ma curato nei minimi particolari. La passione è tanta, la si percepisce nella qualità delle materie e nell’amore con cui vengono preparati i piatti. Ad ogni boccone si sente Firenze in bocca. La Fiorentina è sublime, morbida e cotta al punto giusto (come da richiesta) Grazie di cuore per questa esperienza culinaria

05/04/2024: We took a recommendation from Lonely Planet and were not disappointed. The waiter was attentive and recommended the crab linguini which was incredible (see photo). My wife had gorgeous tuna dish, and we washed it down with a delicious bottle of inexpensive Pinot Grigio, also recommended to us. We also had dessert and were offered limoncello on our way out and could not believe the bill when it came, it was surely too low. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, and we’ll certainly be going back!
05/04/2024: "The old man and the sea" is a very famous place for pizza and fish dishes. We had dinner with some friends and we had fried fish for a starter which was good and crunchy. I had a pizza which was very good and some friends had the seafood carbonara with salmon, tuna and pistachios. All dishes were good but I preferred the fried ones. The place is very nice, but it's a shame that it was very noisy.
