A dinner neither praiseworthy nor infamous.
The Fiorentina steak was objectively very good, and the fried tripe was original. The tartare was anonymous, and the zuccotto with a swirl of 1980s-style melted chocolate was frankly unacceptable. What was objectively unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber in Florence, however, was the wine list. A mediocre selection of Tuscan wines squeezed from shavings and anonymous Venetian wines. A restaurant of this caliber in 2026 simply cannot offer a wine list like this. If wine means anything to you, don't go.

We went for dinner with my brothers-in-law because it was very close to home.
Everything was a pleasant surprise.
We shared many different dishes to sample different things, and everything was well prepared, carefully served, and of excellent quality.

Despite its name screaming "tourist trap," this restaurant is a true Tuscan osteria, serving traditional dishes served by a very kind and friendly Florentine woman, attentive to her customers and happy to do her job. We were truly happy to discover this place near our hotel; it made our short vacation even more special!
Special mention for the peposo, SUPERB!!

Thank you for hosting us. We truly felt like guests in their home, and it was the best dining experience we've had in Florence. The welcome was warm, friendly, and inviting. The food was exceptional. Authentic Tuscan cuisine, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

The place is small and welcoming, and the staff is attentive and friendly.
We split four Tuscan crostini, which were delicious, and then opted for two first courses: homemade gnocchi with Parmesan and saffron fondue, and pappardelle with wild boar.
The wine was good, and the homemade bread, schiacciata, and savory breadsticks deserve a special mention.
