At Mangia e Beví, we enjoyed an authentic and hearty meal. We tried spaghetti with potatoes and braised meat and pasta with eggplant, both very good, with a homemade flavor and local produce.
The seafood salad, on the other hand, was somewhat tough and less successful. It even seemed like the ingredients were frozen.
The atmosphere is cozy, the service friendly, and the prices very reasonable.
A traditional and sincere osteria, ideal for savoring Palermo's cuisine without the fuss.

Eat (well) typical Sicilian food in a 2.0 trattoria. The dishes were beautiful, and everything we ordered was excellent. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're in the heart of Palermo. Prices are typical of a true Palermitan osteria. Nice selection of wines. Recommended.

Unfortunately, I have to give one star for the service. We waited 45 minutes for four plates of pasta, while customers who arrived after us were served first. The quality of the food is unquestionable. Excellent! And the location is also very beautiful, typical Sicilian.

I actually went there a few years ago, but I really liked it. Traditional cuisine with a touch of originality, rustic but not shabby atmosphere. Great memories.

siamo stati a cena in questo ristorante su suggerimento di persone del posto e ci siamo tornati di nuovo due sere dopo per chiudere in bellezza il nostro soggiorno palermitano. Una location deliziosa nel pieno del centro storico di Palermo, personale giovane e simpatico, piatti della cucina siciliana da urlo, veramente tutto tutto tutto buonissimo. Se devo trovare davvero il pelo nell'uovo....il menù cartaceo.....è veramente bruttino, sembra un catalogo di acquisti on line. Secondo me non c'entra nulla con la personalità del locale, molto easy, anche rustica se vogliamo.

Eravamo tornati con molto entusiasmo e forse per questo siamo rimasti delusi. In 5 assaggi di antipasti (sarde in becca fico, e vari assaggi tipici) ma solo il formaggio fuso è piaciuto molto. La pasta con le sarde non è piaciuta a tre su tre, mentre gustoso la linguina al nero di seppia. Prezzo contenuto servizio veloce.
