Wow the freshest orecchiette and brasciola in a better sweet-ish sugo than I make. Such a friendly staff, very engaging if you speak some italian.good size portions. My wife had the grilled swordfish and raved about it. We went back 2 nights later. Make it a point to to make a reservation and enjoy this place.

There’s also a lovely summer terrace, perfect for enjoying your meal in the open air. Be aware — this place is popular, and for good reason. It’s often busy, so a bit of waiting is worth it. A quick note: the opening hours online didn’t match reality. It was written that the osteria closes for a midday break, but when we arrived, it was actually open. So best to just drop by or call ahead. One dish you must try is the traditional “orecchiette con cime di rapa e acciughe” — the iconic pasta of Puglia, made with turnip greens and anchovies. It’s simple, bold, and full of regional flavor — a true taste of the South. If you’re looking for an authentic local dining experience in Puglia, with great food, a welcoming setting, and real tradition — this osteria is absolutely worth a visit.

I brought a German friend of mine here who asked me to eat "a good plate of orecchiette" and I must say that you succeeded perfectly in your mission. The orecchiette with turnip tops were delicious! Courteous staff and good service. I was definitely satisfied. Their liqueurs are also excellent.

Ottimo ristorante tradizionale, un po’ turistico essendo dentro Bariveecchia ma buono, abbiamo preso fave e cozze veramente buona, sformato di fave poi i primi abbiamo ordinato orecchiette cime di rapa con burrata e pomodori secchi e braciole di manzo molto buone entrambe.

Cuando llegué, el hombre parecía asombrado de que había hecho una reserva. Gritando mi nombre de un lado a otro hasta que una mujer del bar confirmó que tenía una reserva a mi nombre. No hay bienvenida amistosa. El primer plato fue muy bueno, un pastel de espinacas en un puré de judías. El segundo plato de pasta casera con mariscos no fue bueno. Insulsos y muy pequeños trozos de lo que creo que fueron congelados y luego recalentados los mariscos. El servicio no era cálido en absoluto. Todos se ven completamente puestos. No recomendaré este lugar a otros.

The food was iconic, super tasty and fresh for very reasonable prices. The atmosphere of the place really made a difference too. We had lunch outside to soak up the full Italian vibe.
