I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming Italian osteria, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and authentically Italian — the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home.
The menu offered a fantastic variety of traditional dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I especially loved the handmade pasta and the rich, flavorful sauces. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of genuine Italian taste.
The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The staff took the time to explain the menu, offer recommendations, and ensure we had everything we needed throughout the evening.

All the food tasted amazing everything was full of flavor and really well prepared. The service was excellent. Our waitress, Lucia, was so kind and attentive. She explained each dish to us and really made our experience at the restaurant special. Highly recommend!

I went with three of my friends. I'd like to address the rude way they treated us.
My friend had asked for pasta with scampi ragù, and when she saw that by ragù they meant sauce and a whole scampi, she wanted to take it away to get something else. At another restaurant, it would have been resolved in five minutes, but here, six of them showed up to ask what the problem was, that this is how scampi ragù is made, that we're the ones who don't understand... so much so that the tone started to rise and they finally asked us to leave. For a scampi ragù that would have been enough to be taken away and brought something else my friend had asked for. Not only that, they started bad-mouthing us to the other customers, boasting that "Bruno Barbieri came here," more concerned about their own dignity than the well-being of a customer.
There are certainly restaurants in Bari where they're kinder, and to be honest, even the octopus I ordered was stringy.

First time for us in Bari and, thanks to the kind advice of Paolo of Stefy's Cathedral Coffee, we booked a table for lunch. What can I say, typical dishes of the Bari tradition really excellent, fast and attentive service. Very nice and friendly owners. I highly recommend this restaurant in the heart of old Bari and among the dishes do not miss the Tiedda barese.

We (couple) went on a Thursday night. Advance booking is strongly advised given the number of people queueing not long after we arrived for our 8pm reservation.
We sat outside, lovely atmosphere and staff were friendly.
We ordered a grilled octopus each, some grilled veg to share, 1lt of house white wine and a local digestif to end our meal. It was all lovely. The octopus needed some salt, in my view, but we were given salt and pepper on the table. The house wine was punchy enough and flavourful.
Bread was brought when we sat down and we were given a refill once we finished it.
Overall, a lovely experience. Definitely recommended!

Sadly, but they have forgotten about our reservation and because of that we were sat next to a very small table in the room corner instead of outside. Food was fine, we have ordered seafood plate. Unfortunately, all tasted same - no seasoning, just deep fried. Maybe it’s a matter of table location, but we felt a bit neglected comparing to other places we have visited in Bari.

Ottimo ristorante tradizionale, un po’ turistico essendo dentro Bariveecchia ma buono, abbiamo preso fave e cozze veramente buona, sformato di fave poi i primi abbiamo ordinato orecchiette cime di rapa con burrata e pomodori secchi e braciole di manzo molto buone entrambe.

Cuando llegué, el hombre parecía asombrado de que había hecho una reserva. Gritando mi nombre de un lado a otro hasta que una mujer del bar confirmó que tenía una reserva a mi nombre. No hay bienvenida amistosa.
El primer plato fue muy bueno, un pastel de espinacas en un puré de judías. El segundo plato de pasta casera con mariscos no fue bueno. Insulsos y muy pequeños trozos de lo que creo que fueron congelados y luego recalentados los mariscos.
El servicio no era cálido en absoluto. Todos se ven completamente puestos. No recomendaré este lugar a otros.
