If you want generous portions to fill your stomach well, this is the ideal tavern to do so. Close to the Piacenza Sud motorway exit, it is in a very convenient place to park. We decided to book for dinner when we realized that at lunch they only offered a standard menu for workers, while in the evening there would also be the possibility of eating typical dishes of the area. The platter of mixed cured meats was plentiful and of impeccable quality; the seasoning was excellent. The generous giardiniera is also delicious, as are the slices of savory pie. It's a shame about the lack of fried dumplings, but for the heaviness it could bring to the evening it makes sense. In this tavern I tried my first guinea fowl, and I would say that it was perfect, both because the meat was so tender that it almost melted in the mouth, and for the expertly balanced idea of ​​accompanying it with a sausage and chestnut filling, in addition to the delicate and sweet red turnip cream. The sliced ​​beef is also excellent. The only Achilles heel was the smoked scamorza with grilled vegetables. Those vegetables were a tragedy for the palate: not only did they barely show signs of being grilled, but they actually ended up totally raw. We finished them anyway, because they were still edible and it's right not to throw anything away, but both the consistency and the flavor turned off an evening that up until then was going very well. Even the interiors are not particularly memorable, and indeed, for my personal taste, they appear very aseptic. The staff was friendly and the prices extremely honest, especially low for the meat; detail that I appreciated so much. We were so full we weren't able to get to the desserts. Maybe it will be for another time.

Fantastic, when I'm in the area I can't help but stop in as happened on March 12th with friends. Here we eat the best or I would be and phases of all of Piacenza and the province. I can't eat less than two dishes then the picula and something spacey. Honest prices in line with the quality of the food. Also worth trying are the desserts and the large bargnolino.

Salumi molto buoni accompagnati da altri antipastini molto buoni. Io ho preso i pinoli ai funghi molto apprezzati anche se erano leggermente troppo cotti altri hanno preso chi la picula di cavallo fatta come tradizione con i peperoni. Unica nota negativa alcuni dolci al cucchiaio già terminati alle 21,30 nonostante il locale non fosse pieno pazienza così avrò una scusa per tornare e assaggiare altre portate

I visited "Osteria la Saracca" last night, after attending a basketball game with friends. It is located in Via del Chapter in Piacenza, in a peripheral but easily accessible area. Upon entry, the space is very large and welcoming. The atmosphere is inviting, with a single large room for tables, large and airy. The service was fast, friendly and courteous, which made our experience pleasant. For dinner, I tried the Pisarei and Fasò, a typical dish of Piacenza cuisine, and as a second course the small horse meat with puree, really delicious. We accompanied everything with a red wine from Lugo, served in bowls rather than glasses, a very nice thing! The value for money is excellent, considering the quality of the food and the service. In summary, it's a great place to go with friends and maybe celebrate a sporting victory!

Ho visitato "Osteria la Saracca" ieri sera, dopo aver assistito a una partita di basket con amici. Si trova in Via del Capitolo a Piacenza, in una zona periferica ma facilmente raggiungibile. All'entrata, lo spazio è molto grande e accogliente. L'atmosfera è invitante, con una grande sala unica per i tavoli, ampia e ariosa. Il servizio è stato veloce, gentile e cortese, il che ha reso la nostra esperienza piacevole. Per cena, ho provato i Pisarei e Fasò, un tipico piatto della cucina piacentina, e come secondo la piccola di cavallo con purè, davvero buonissima. Abbiamo accompagnato il tutto con un vino mosso rosso del Lugo, servito in scodelle piuttosto che in bicchieri, una cosa molto simpatica! Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è ottimo, considerando la qualità del cibo e del servizio. In sintesi, è un bel posto dove andare con gli amici e magari festeggiare una vittoria sportiva!

We came on a Friday for lunch, you cannot book and it is better to arrive early otherwise you risk waiting for a table. Ample parking in front of the venue. The environment is large and pleasant, small but clean bathrooms, friendly staff. As soon as we arrived they accompanied us to the table where there was already the menu of the day at 15 euros including first course, second course, raw or cooked side dish, water, wine and coffee. The choice of menu was varied, the food was good and plentiful especially the first courses, the service was fast. For us it was a pleasant surprise and we will definitely return when we come to Piacenza.

Stopped in for a quick lunch while I was away. Friendly staff, very fast service, good dishes and low prices. 5 stars well deserved.
