Osteria La Piana In Siena

Great choice if you are in Siena good quality and the staff are very helpful ! You must try to find it and not go to the touristic traps in piazza del campo

In Siena, you eat well pretty much everywhere, but I really enjoy this trattoria on Via di Camollia. When I go there, I regularly order Pici Cacio e Pepe, and sometimes I even get a second helping of Pici all'Aglione or Pici al Ragù di Chianina. Obviously, I don't eat anything else, and in the evenings, I only have an apple for dinner!

Every time I come to Siena it is a must-see, you eat very well at honest prices, the Chianina tartare is excellent, I absolutely recommend it

It's like eating at your grandmother's house from days gone by. The food was top-notch. I was literally moved. Try it... Absolutely. Above all today, the peposo was unsurpassed. The beans al fiasco were superb. And the wine? What a question, come on: excellent.

This restaurant is just a few minutes' walk from Piazza Campo. The pici are delicious. The service is fast and friendly.

I had lunch at this osteria with some work friends. We didn't make a reservation, but I recommend it to avoid any problems. We ate quickly and ordered five first courses: two pici all'Aglione and three spaghetti with bacon, shallots, and Tropea onions. Followed by three desserts: Torte della Nonna. A glass of red wine and bottles of water with four coffees cost us €100 in total. The menu is traditional Tuscan with a focus on local Sienese specialties. The food is good quality, with an average quality/price ratio. The atmosphere is varied, with many hanging accessories: from bicycles to typewriters and much more. The style is informal, yet refined and comfortable. There are several dining rooms. Good acoustics for conversation. The facilities are good and well-maintained. The staff is helpful and very efficient. I recommend this place, and I hope to have the opportunity to return...

Excellent food. The only negative, in my opinion, was the service. We waited an hour between the appetizer and the main course, and when we asked if there would be a long wait, we were told, "You're the last table to arrive. You've eaten your appetizer, the main courses are coming out." It wasn't true that we were the last table to arrive because there was another table after us that had almost finished. We didn't really appreciate the response, in short, the bullshit they fed us. 😅 Otherwise, good.
