Osteria La Piana In Siena

The picio all'aglione, pappa al pomodoro, and eggs with truffle were all very good. The cantucci and vinsanto were not up to par. The service was courteous but slow. There are outdoor seating and an indoor dining room.

Osteria la Piana is undoubtedly the right place for those who want a gastronomic experience among the authentic flavors of the Sienese territory. You will always find good quality raw materials, local cured meats and cheeses, first courses full of flavor and truly excellent meat. The environment is simple, but well-kept and pleasant, with chestnut beams, terracotta floors and walls covered with relics of a Siena of the past... but still contemporary in many respects. In the summer months there are also several tables available outside, in one of the most characteristic streets of Siena. The service by Marco - the owner - and his collaborators is friendly and efficient, without too many frills and therefore fully in line with the spirit of the place. Also considering the more than affordable prices, I can only recommend La Piana.

Food was fresh and quite tasty. The Inferno calazone was especially good as were the pizzas and pasta.

We visited on a Thursday evening. The price-quality ratio is really good. It looks like real Italians work inside. The place feels authentic. The gnocchi tastes perfect. The pizzas are also very tasty. The pasta may seem a little hard, but it was really tasty. The choice of dishes is large.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, and the price was very fair. We hope to return!

Very good food, well-seasoned, and reasonably priced. Friendly service, decent house wine. We drove 3,100 km through Italy and ate in several trattorias, but nowhere was better.

Trattoria con arredamento tipico, serve piatti della tradizione. Ci siamo stati in un gruppo piuttosto numeroso di amici, e aabbiamo concordato un menu unico per tutti. Il personale è giovane ed abbastanza cortese, il cibo è sostanzialmente buono, ma vanno fatte un paio di osservazioni critiche : pur avendo pattuito una cifra non certo irrisoria, il servizio è stato gestito con i soliti vassoi, e non a porzioni singole; a un commensale poi che ha osato chiedere semplicemente un altro formato di pasta rispetto a quello previsto, è stata servita la bellezza di ben 7 (di numero) maccheroni... A volte sono questi particolari negativi facilmente evitabili che generano delusione ed insoddisfazione.

Trattoria tipica senese, piccolina, in zona porta camollia. Zona un pò decentrata, rispetto a Piazza del campo. Buono i piatti, prezzi nella media, proprietari molto gentili
