Typical tavern, very nice and friendly staff, fast service and very good dishes. Very pleasant background music, average price, what can I say, I will definitely return.

Very rustic cellar restaurant with some unusual food offerings, e.g. tortellini with venison ragout - it tasted wonderful. Red house wine was also very ok. All the young waitresses were very friendly, competent and radiated a good mood. The bosses were also chatty, interested in my unusual mustache (resemblance to Emperor Franz Joseph) and bought me grappa when I said goodbye. We only went skiing in Canazei for five evenings, were there on the first evening and then twice more and ate, among other things, bacon as a starter and gnocchi in Gorgonzola sauce with walnut pieces and both dishes were a real pleasure. Reasonable price and quality, nice atmosphere in the old center of the town. When we hopefully come back to Canazei to go motorcycling or skiing, we will definitely be guests at Montanara again!

We went for dinner, friendly and fast service. We took very good mountain cheeses with excellent sauces and delicious sweet and sour onions. Abundant dishes, average price.

Abbiamo gustato un’ottima polenta con funghi e formaggio e un delicato tiramisù in questo piccolo e accogliente locale di Canazei. Piatti abbondanti e gustosi.
