The food is very good. I can confirm this after years. One of the best restaurants in Rome in terms of value for money.

We arrived as guests and immediately noticed how lively and well-visited the restaurant was. During our short stay in Rome, we had dinner here on two evenings, and both times the experience was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious. You can feel that this place is run with true passion, heart, and dedication. The ingredients were fresh and regional, and for us as tourists, it was a very different experience compared to dining in the city center of Rome. This was authentic, traditional cuisine — not the typical tourist food you often find elsewhere. There was a great variety of seafood, pasta, antipasti and shellfish to choose from, and we received excellent recommendations directly from the owner, who speak english, which made our meals even more special. We would like to send our warm regards once again. We had a fantastic stay and will never forget the time we spent at Gennaro’s restaurant. Greetings, Maren and Zana!

Let me start by saying that this is a seafood restaurant, and I ate vegetarian. The caponata wasn't exactly traditional; the buffalo mozzarella was good, but a bit dry and too stringy. The pasta with tomato sauce was cooked well, but the sauce was too thick. My plate was chipped in four places (unacceptable).

This restaurant is nothing short of SUPERLATIVE.... The quality of the food, wines, and service are unsurpassed, not to mention the owner, GENNARINO, and his sister, MICHELA...two simple, kind people who welcome you into an elegant yet familiar atmosphere. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK 💪😃

We had a wonderful fish meal. The service was quick and friendly. Gennaro is a true host.

Domenica sera abbiamo cenato sulla terrazza del ristorante, serviti da un ragazzo straniero molto gentile, senza tener conto della presenza di Gennaro che con i suoi consigli tra piatti e vino ha reso la serata piacevolissima. Un vero incanto per una serata Estiva. Torneremo sicuramente prima che finisca l'estate!!

I piatti sono buoni, ma il servizio è l'accoglienza non sono granché. La signora in sala è poco accogliente, anzi direi per nulla, quasi come se gli desse fastidio che stia lì. Prenderei in considerazione questo punto perché purtroppo non ci siamo sentiti a nostro agio.
