From appetizer to main course, every dish was a journey through the flavors of the sea. The pasta was creamy, perfectly blended, with a touch of crunchy pistachio that made it elegant and never boring. The lobster? Fresh, juicy, impeccably cooked, and carefully presented: a dish that speaks for itself, both in quality and flavor.
The attention to the ingredients and the passion in the kitchen are clearly evident. Generous portions, authentic flavors, and a balance rarely found.
Special praise to Gennaro: an extraordinary person, even before being a great professional.

Authentic and well-prepared cuisine, with quality ingredients that you can taste right away. Portions are often generous, so you'll leave satisfied. The only downside is that service can be a bit slow, especially when it's busy. Prices are a bit higher than you'd expect, and when it's busy, tables are very close together, making you feel a bit crowded.

A wonderful neighborhood find. We came here after living in the area for many years, driven by curiosity and recommendations from friends. Gennaro and his staff are incredibly kind and helpful; they were very kind to my daughter and were incredibly affectionate. The food is truly top-quality, from appetizers to desserts, all prepared with care and attention. Try the anchovy parmigiana, spaghetti with clams, and sea bass rolls.

Excellent restaurant at Torrino on Via della Seta 1. It's my go-to seafood restaurant in Rome, with excellent seafood dishes, starting with crudo, parmigiana, and an extensive menu. I recommend it to seafood lovers for its excellent atmosphere and clean, well-maintained restaurant. Kudos to Gennaro, the restaurant's maître d', also for his service. It's now become my go-to seafood restaurant for my family and my many guests. Highly recommended for seafood lovers. I assure you, the food here is always fresh! Reservations are recommended, as it's always busy!

A wonderful return: feeling at home at Genny's "La Massaia"
We wanted to celebrate the monthiversary with my wonderful love and decided to return, having been absent for a while, to Gennaro's "La Massaia" restaurant.
It was a delightful déjà vu: the restaurant is renovated and welcoming, but the legendary Gennaro (Genny to his friends) is still there to welcome us. He is instantly empathetic, conveying a great passion for cooking and the utmost attention to his customers.
Here is our gastronomic journey:
* Appetizers: Mussels with buffalo mozzarella and Cetara anchovy parmigiana. Both appetizers were unique and truly delicious.
* Our craving: Mazara red shrimp, absolutely exceptional.
* The classic: Spaghetti with clams. A dish we'd been longing for, and it was executed to perfection.
🍷 The discovery: It was all washed down with a truly special Greco di Tufo from the Di Meo winery. A deep straw-yellow wine with an incredibly full-bodied and structured flavor. On the nose, it struck us with intense notes of exotic fruit and citrus, with a minerality that perfectly cleansed the palate, enhancing the seafood flavors without ever overpowering them. An excellent choice.
🍰 The surprise finale: Genny created a sensation by letting us taste the legendary "Poppelle," made by the historic pastry shop in the Rione Sanità district of Naples. The famous "Fiocco di Neve": a soft brioche with milk cream, ricotta, and cream with hints of citrus. So good (being the original!), we even ordered seconds.
This place makes you feel at home, you can sense the passion, and Genny is a wonderful host. Highly recommended!

We booked in advance because the restaurant is very popular, especially because of the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. Parking is available in a small square 50 meters from the restaurant, in front of Élite Pet.

I'm a regular at Michela and Gennaro's. The hospitality is exceptional and the value for money is extraordinary. I don't know what to recommend; just grab a slice of bread and olive oil while you wait to see how good it is. The seafood first courses are extraordinary; I generally order the linguine with sole, lemon, and pistachios, which are incredibly delicious. For starters, I recommend the parmigiana, which is also good with anchovies, but the traditional version is unmatched. For main courses, the fillet in Barolo sauce or the sea bass rolls are extraordinary. For dessert, I recommend the tiramisu, always fresh and light. Spend the average amount for exceptional quality. Unmissable.
