I have been going to Gattaiola for years when it was Francesco's, I have never had a bill like yesterday's Sunday 12/21/2024 a plate of tagliolini with truffles 35 euros exaggerated without even a bottle of wine for two 145 euros I don't think I'll go back

La Gattaiola, located in the small town of Fauglia, in the province of Pisa, is a restaurant that combines Tuscan tradition with a unique atmosphere. Located in a characteristic alley with a terrace overlooking a panoramic valley. Internally the restaurant is spread over two floors, with welcoming environments surrounded by the beauty of the vaulted bricks and the rock. In particular, we had the pleasure of having dinner in a suggestive cave, an intimate and fascinating place. We started with a classic Tuscan appetizer consisting of croutons, excellent quality local hams and cured meats. Afterwards, we delighted in a perfectly cooked and high quality cut. To conclude, the desserts were truly exquisite, noteworthy and prepared with great care. The only small note was an inconvenience upon arrival: they had not registered our reservation. However, the staff handled the situation quickly, finding a table for us and setting it up with courtesy and professionalism. This confirmed their attention to customers and made our visit pleasant and unforgettable. A culinary experience that we recommend to those seeking the true flavor of Tuscany.

Characteristic atmosphere, good food, service a little slow but the place was really packed and there were large tables, like ours. Our truffle dishes are all very good. Dessert included: a truffle tiramisu that I would happily eat again. Promoted!

Very nice place with a spectacular view where greenery reigns supreme. Typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine prepared simply but full of flavour. Delicious wild boar pappardelle and truffle tagliolini, an explosion of aroma and flavour. Homemade tiramisu and a trio of small cheesecakes to try, from the small but good series! A good Sicilian red accompanied our lunch and the suckling pig which was off the menu for the day... from today on holiday to rest and improve the place, as the very pretty girl who served us told us so we will be forced to come and visit you again! Had dinner last night for two people. Very suggestive environment, we were practically in a cave! What can I say, very good food, my excellent truffle tagliolini, like the 800 gram Florentine steak, tender and tasty, with an adequate degree of cooking. The wild boar also very good. Fried porcini mushrooms for applause.. The wine and spirits list is also very interesting, expertly recommended by the waiters. The only thing is that the times between one course and another are a little long... we will definitely come back to you!

Lekker met ons gezin gegeten. Mooi terras. Prima bediening en mooie lokale menukaart. Astra was top, tagliata had wat veel vet. Komen ook veel locals. Parkeren is niet eenvoudig maar binnen 3 min lopen lukt altijd wel.
