Osteria la Dritta In Lucca

By far our favorite restaurant in Lucca. We just wrapped up a month in Lucca La Dirtta became the weekly date spot. Food is amazing with a modern twist and the wine pairings were excellent. The staff was exceptional and very gracious with our 4yr old daughter.

We had dinner at this place, chosen partly because of our program (4 restaurants), and I must say it was a great choice. We were welcomed into a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were truly kind and welcoming, making sure you were comfortable throughout your stay. The location is very characteristic, like an osteria! The quality of the dishes is truly excellent, with top-quality ingredients! Everything is well-balanced. We recommend everyone to try this experience at Osteria la Dritta!

A lovely little restaurant, don't forget to book ahead because it's very popular. An original seasonal menu, dishes that delight the taste buds, a little sauce to enhance the flavor, nothing is left to chance. Neither is the presentation, which is totally mastered, whether in the plate or simply the restaurant's decor. And let's not forget the wine, for which we were well advised from a menu with a wide selection.

Very nice lunch at this cute restaurant’s outside patio, right on the airy and sunny square, away from the touristy crowd in the centre. Traditional dishes but with a more youngish, not nonna’s, approach. Would eat here again rather than generic restaurants on the city’s main piazza.

Excellent restaurant: original and carefully prepared dishes, beautiful location (central but off the beaten path), friendly and knowledgeable staff, fair price. Recommended.

I went to dinner with my partner, thanks to the discovery of 4 restaurants. I had fregola and he had calamarata. I swear, it was something unique that unfortunately I won't find anywhere else with that flavor. Their kindness made you feel right at home. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Went with the family for an evening in Lucca. Reading previous reviews, we focused on the dishes that, for us, might be more interesting. The beef tartare was cut a tad too thick for me, but the fregola was truly excellent, with all the flavors perfectly balanced, while the other first course had a too strong lemon flavor, something my daughter didn't notice, although she, on the contrary, really enjoyed it. To finish, an excellent creamy dessert with blueberries and meringues and, a nice touch, the artisanal gelato served with hot coffee brought to the table in a traditional mini moka pot. A pleasant place with attentive and fast service. The final bill was in line with the quality of the restaurant. All good.

Passing through Lucca, how could I not try Borghese's selection?! During the show, these women impressed me with their authenticity and skill, as well as their passion. Tonight everything was impeccable, the service excellent! The food too, of course, and the location was lovely. We'll be back when we pass through Lucca again. Keep up the good work!!!
