Osteria La Dispensa In Sabbioneta

Based on the positive reviews I went for lunch 3 weeks ago, I wanted to make up my mind. I'll be brief. The place is small so it is advisable to book but I found everything else excellent: service, quiet environment, quality of cuisine. It is also stated by the place that since the dishes are prepared on the spot the wait will last a few minutes more: it is true, but it is worth it because everything is excellent and without flaws. Personally I really appreciated that the chef's philosophy is not to give birth to dishes that are too salty, and for me this is worth 1 more point on my very personal card!

The limited number of seats is perhaps the main reason that makes the food served very refined and exquisite. The owner is very kind and available to satisfy any request. Really excellent value for money.

Pleasant place with attentive and punctual service

I was there today with my family for the first time! I would like to point out that my husband and I are from Venice, while my family lives nearby and is originally from Morocco like me! We tried various dishes... from various appetizers, first courses, second courses and side dishes; the only flaw is that we were unable to finish everything, as the dishes were abundant and nothing short of exceptional and above all LOCAL. Thanks to the staff for everything, especially for the service, considering that the boy who served us, followed the entire room without even taking notes, but remembering everything by heart. We highly recommend it to everyone if you are passing through like us, to try the real typical Mantua dishes. Thank you Osteria La Dispensa.

Small, welcoming place with great attention to detail. We tried the macaroni with duck ragù and the tagliolini with squid ink with octopus carbonara. Pike with polenta, donkey stew and entrecote of a meat whose name I don't remember but it was very tasty. Everything truly delicious. Courteous and professional service. Price normal. Go to Sabbioneta to eat at the Dispensa... but don't forget to visit the 7 places recommended by the tourism company because they are truly worth it... almost like the food.

Characteristic restaurant in the center of Sabbioneta, we ate a PHENOMENAL beef tartare, as well as the tagliata and the cheese board paired with fruit chutneys. Unfortunately the vegetarian choice was limited to 2/3 dishes. Fast and courteous service. The choice of wines is decent. Average prices.

Spectacular, a dinner that I will remember for a long time. Good manager, quick service, traditional dishes contaminated by a lot of imagination and excellent raw materials.

Serve anche un po' di simpatia e savoir faire per far sentire il cliente completamente coccolato e accolto in un ristorante. E' quanto manca alla Dispensa di Sabbioneta, storico locale che si trova in centro alla "piccola Atene", con un comodo parcheggio di fianco. I piatti sono buoni, preparati al momento con un'attenzione alla qualità dei prodotti e alla vasta tradizione culinaria della zona. Buono il luccio in salsa verde con polenta (e con un po' troppo olio che galleggiava attorno), un po' troppo striminzito il quadrato di bue nero crudo battuto al coltello, bene i tortelli di zucca al burro fuso (mi piacerebbe assaggiasrli anche in rosso...), poco saporito lo stracotto d'asino. Las buona mano del cuoco si sente, ma serve anche il calore in sala! Conto in linea.

Cibo di alta qualità in un locale piccolo ma carino e pulito con personale molto molto cordiale. Consiglio costolette di agnello hai ferri.Qui si spende un po di più rispetto altrove ma ne vale la pena.
