I had dinner on Saturday night with my wife, and I'd say it wasn't bad, but unfortunately the main courses were a huge disappointment.
The lamb was fried raw and triple-breaded, and the donkey stew was tough and stringy.

We had a wonderful time! The gnocco fritto was delicious and accompanied by quality cured meats. I also recommend the macaroni with duck ragù and the black beef steak, incredibly tender. To finish, the sbrisolona with zabaglione: superb, the zabaglione is one of the best I've ever had!!
Unfortunately, the only downside that affects the overall score is that the cooking smells leave your clothes smelling like they're cooking. It's a shame because the quality of the food and the dining experience are truly excellent. Well done, anyway!!

Excellent trattoria in the center of Sabbioneta. I ate outside near the Galleria del Palazzo Giardino, which was definitely a plus. The menu offers half traditional Mantuan dishes and half modern ones, all very well made. Excellent cooking and seasoning, clearly showcasing the craftsmanship. The kitchen is practically open to the public. Good wine selection. Good service, friendly and helpful owners. Prices are higher than average, but all in all justified. Satisfied and recommended.

Welcoming place, excellent service, and very kind owners. The appetizer, main course, and dessert were all top-notch. Beautiful Sabbioneta, and Osteria La Dispensa is an excellent choice.

Based on the positive reviews I went for lunch 3 weeks ago, I wanted to make up my mind. I'll be brief. The place is small so it is advisable to book but I found everything else excellent: service, quiet environment, quality of cuisine. It is also stated by the place that since the dishes are prepared on the spot the wait will last a few minutes more: it is true, but it is worth it because everything is excellent and without flaws. Personally I really appreciated that the chef's philosophy is not to give birth to dishes that are too salty, and for me this is worth 1 more point on my very personal card!

The limited number of seats is perhaps the main reason that makes the food served very refined and exquisite. The owner is very kind and available to satisfy any request. Really excellent value for money.
