Spaghetti w oysters and coconut excellent combination!
Eggplant
Trout, which as usual I found too salty but my husband didn’t.
A very pleasant orange wine - not too funky.
Can’t think of any negatives
I would definitely recommend and certainly go back to.
27/06/2025: The same advice from the jovial lawyer from Parma that had made me discover La Valle, this time led me to the Cortex Bistrot. From the green hills above Fidenza to the narrow streets of the center of Parma, warmed by the rays of the sun of the first, real, days of summer.
Inside, however, it is nice, an informal environment between shelves of books and bottles that celebrate past uncorkings, the girls who welcomed us and took care of us always patient and courteous, even though we were a large company and perhaps with a few too many requests.
I really liked the cuisine of Cortex, articulated without being excessive, fresh and original in the choice of ingredients with a result always well-centered, you can find delicacy where perhaps you would expect intensity, or the exact opposite.
I put “𝑝𝑒𝑝𝑒 𝑏𝑢𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑜, 𝑎𝑠𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑔𝑖, 𝑐𝑎𝑣𝑖𝑎𝑙𝑒 𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑎, 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑢𝑔𝑎” in first place along with “𝑐𝑖𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎, 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑡𝑒́, 𝑣𝑖𝑛 Hello, dear friend, extraordinary starter the “𝑧𝑢𝑐𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑎 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝑑𝑖𝑑, “𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑜𝑛, 𝑏𝑜𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑔𝑎”. Since I lacked the courage, I chose “𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑜, 𝑔𝑎𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑖, 𝑝𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑖, 𝑐𝑢𝑟𝑟𝑦” instead of “𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑝𝑝𝑎, 𝑠𝑒𝑝𝑝𝑖𝑎, 𝑓𝑎𝑔𝑖𝑜𝑙𝑖 𝑑𝑒𝑙𝑙’𝑜𝑐𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑜”, but who wouldn't? he had my paranoias he then called it spectacular.
The wine list was a real playground, to satisfy every possible desire without breaking the bank. As a company alcoholic, colleagues, on average 20 years younger, gave me carte blanche and I, as an elderly person, took advantage of it. They were very thirsty, they behaved very well 😎
