Great service, tasty food , I liked that they put Italian music. Everything was with a good taste. A little bit more expensive than average but it's worth it.

The homemade pasta is great, the fish fried to perfection and the meat very tender. If you want to ponder here, you should be very hungry, because the portions are honestly Italian, so they are big. Service very accommodating. When we were there the other guests were only Italian. This is our second time here and we will definitely come back.

Buon ristorante abbastanza centrale. Posti anche fuori. Cucina locale e carta dei vini interessante, con giusti ricarichi.

There were 6 of us who went to dinner, in the booking it was specified that there was a vegan at dinner. Unfortunately there are no vegan choices on the menu but they were really helpful in accommodating me. I ate fried gnocchi, spring onions and gnocchi with sauce. As a vegan it's not a restaurant I would choose, but the helpfulness and education of the staff were really appreciated. The bill was a little expensive, gnocchi with water and cover charge €20 (14+3+3), I think it is due to the fact that the gnocchi were homemade with good raw materials. Nice dinner and atmosphere.

Restaurant located in a pedestrian area in the center of Varese, no parking available. The dishes are typical of the Italian tradition but cooked with high quality raw materials. Prices above average but sometimes it's okay!

I had the pleasure of dining at Al Mattarello Restaurant recently and was pleasantly impressed. The atmosphere is welcoming and intimate, with elegant and refined furnishings. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to satisfy every request with a smile.

04/08/2024: Nice find! Behind a somewhat anonymous door, a well-furnished room, courteous service, well-cooked and presented dishes. Well done fish at every course. Dishes served without skimping and truly competitive prices. Advised!
04/08/2024: At my table we had lunch with seafood paella which I personally don't have Tried it but the diners liked it. I had grilled octopus with mashed potatoes, good, and spaghetti with clams that were equally good, perhaps a little less oil wouldn't hurt. I'd say everything went well. Very good coffee. Very popular place. Correct prices.
