The dinner exceeded my already high expectations. The food was delicious, with attention to every detail, and the service was fast and efficient. Kudos also to the ladies who, despite a large table of small children and their parents, were always kind and cheerful. Overall, excellent food and great service! I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in Rovello Porro again. Thanks for a fantastic dinner!

As always, while traveling for work, I happen to book a hotel in this small town and then... I'm looking for a place to put my legs under the table. Call it chance or luck, less than a 5-minute walk away, I find this place. Impressive upon entry: great music, '70s classics, Pink Floyd, Neil Young...so much stuff. Immediate and courteous service...and then...her majesty the menu arrives. Well...I would have liked to try EVERY dish offered. I then "limited" myself to a sumptuous mixed cheese and cured meat platter as an appetizer and then a beautiful Milanese cutlet with potatoes. Everything was excellent, a good quantity and above all great quality. The price is absolutely reasonable. An experience to repeat, and as always, don't go because if I don't find a place, I'll come looking for you 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

A place behind our house, booked by chance because it was one of the few open on Monday evenings. A pleasant discovery, good food, fast service, generous portions, tiramisu 🔝, quiet atmosphere, and fair price. We'll be back. Recommended.

I particularly enjoyed the porcini mushroom menu, prepared with fresh ingredients and beautifully cooked. The desserts were also worth it: they were the icing on the cake of the evening. The quality-price ratio is fair, especially considering the attention to detail in the dishes and the service. It's definitely a place I'd gladly return to and one I'd recommend to anyone looking for authentic cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I had dinner at Osteria il Cerchio e la Botte this evening. On our way from Rome to Germany, we stopped off before the Swiss border and, at 8:45 p.m., weren't really expecting much in this small town just outside Milan. What happened next was the best dinner of a 12-day trip to Italy! I've worked in a fine-dining kitchen myself and can assure you that the person cooking here has been professionally trained, but above all, enjoys their job. Let's start at the beginning: The place is designed in a typical osteria style and is very clean. The decor isn't mind-blowing, but it's not uncomfortable either. The service is very friendly and immediately offered us a table. Our drinks were taken and our menus brought immediately. Efficient, friendly, and professional! My girlfriend's bruschetta was crispy(!) and tasted of high-quality olive oil and ripe tomatoes. Topped with a few drops of fine basil pesto. A classic that every good kitchen should master, but which, unfortunately, is served far too often more poorly than well. Everything was perfect here! The quality of the meat in my starter was top-notch, and the vitello cream was beautifully smooth and full-flavored. The chips provided the necessary crunch and really made a statement. This was the first time we noticed that someone was cooking with a concept and attitude. Great songs of the 80s played in the background, and while David Bowie sang "Heroes," we waited only about 10-15 minutes after the starter had finished until our main course was served. For my friend's main course, pumpkin gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce and pear compote, topped with crispy pumpkin slices. Regional seasonal produce was creatively transformed with attention to detail into an exciting pasta dish. The menu states that all the pasta is made in-house, which brings us to the topic of attitude and concept. On the way to the hotel, I heard several times, "Mmm, that was truly incredibly delicious, such a great vegetarian dish!" My veal schnitzel was huge and the meat was cooked to perfection! Tender veal, breaded on the bone, and served with crispy rosemary potatoes. The breading was golden yellow, but I thought it could have used a bit more seasoning. All in all, a fantastic schnitzel! For dessert, and this was another interesting detail, the waiter brought a handwritten list of various desserts. This shows that they're always coming up with something new and don't just stick to the same old menu, which brings us back to the topic of attitude. The waiters were very friendly and answered all our questions professionally. Having the waiters prepare the desserts means that main courses are served quickly and on time, taking pressure off the kitchen, which brings us back to the concept. We had a light homemade cake with a dough base and sponge cake. Topped with a fruit purée made from fresh frutti di bosco. Very tasty and the perfect end to a successful evening that we hadn't expected. Dear team at Osteria il Cerchio e la Botte, I've been to so many restaurants and have been so frustrated so many times. Many restaurateurs just cook their meals because that's their job. No concept, no idea, no attitude, no creativity. You don't just cook your meals!! You identify with your products, show how they can be creatively combined to create great dishes, and stand behind what you do. You find a great mix of down-to-earth dishes that everyone knows and loves, along with small details that bring them to life. You know your craft and offer outstanding value for money! And what I find most amazing is that you work with a clear concept. You know who you are, what you're capable of, and what you want, and you can feel it!!! PS: I would have loved to tell you this in person, but unfortunately, my Italian isn't good enough. :)
