A typical restaurant in the center of Siena. Dinner included a first course (pici senesi, tagliatelle with duck ragù), a second course (suckling pig split in half), and a dessert (ricciarello with zabaglione and licorice ice cream). Everything was delicious. The owner was very friendly and willing to explain the traditions of the Siena Palio and its districts. Reasonably priced!! The only flaw was the house white wine, which was acidic. Highly recommended.

In Tuscany, it's rare to eat badly or encounter unpleasant people. This place offers good-quality traditional cuisine and friendly staff. Excellent pici cacio e pepe and ricciarelli with zabaglione and hot chocolate!

Had a lovely quick not so quick lunch. Went straight to order the gnocchetti al tartufo y pesto. And it was incredibly good! Staff was very nice since a lot of people were coming in to sit, and they wait for me to finish my wine. Other high requested places ask if you want dessert or the check. Would definitely come back!

A small and charming place just steps from Piazza del Campo... If I had to describe it in one word, I'd say Divine.

All three dishes ordered were exceptionally good. We were the only foreigners surrounded by Italians on a Sunday. Everyone was eating their lampredotto, which was fantastic. The fillet was also exceptional and the pici ragu excellent. A pleasant surprise only a short distance away from the main piazza.

The service was unfriendly, which isn't unusual in Italy. The food was very good. We enjoyed sitting at the tables outside, which made the atmosphere more pleasant. They gave us a very good wine recommendation.

Small but nice place, impeccable service, spectacular tartare and the rest of the dishes delicious, shame that two dishes were missing because they ran out but they made up for it very well with a spectacular ham, I recommend going there, we will definitely be back

15/09/2025: We were here a few years ago and came back because it's worth it! Good, quality food and very pleasant service. I recommend it!
13/09/2025: We had dinner this evening at this trattoria and were completely satisfied. The platter of cured meats, bruschetta, cheese, and fried foods was excellent. Pici all'aglione, the chicken tagliata, and the fried fish were perfect, and finally the cantuccini with a delicious Tuscan vinsanto. Highly recommended.

LA MANGIATOIA

28/10/2025: Excellent service and lovely atmosphere in San Gimignano. I'll be dreaming of the beef tartare with caramelized onions — wild boar pappardelle, lamb chops, tiramisu and of course, wine were also all delicious. We considered going back again the next night to try all new dishes. Definitely a wonderful choice for dinner!
