Osteria Grassini In Massa marittima

Delicious traditional Tuscan food with a warm, family-like welcome. We had a plate of traditional cheeses, delicious meatloaf with excellent baked potatoes, and a delicious crème brulee. Oh, and the tiramisu doesn't have cream, and of course, that's homemade too. Amazing.

Great experience. We come here every year for our summer holidays and it never disappoints.

Super friendly service. We spontaneously made a reservation for over 20 people and got a nice table inside. Service was good, although we did have to wait a bit longer for food and drinks at times. The food all came out well, which was great for so many people! BUT, many people had pasta, and while it was tasty, it was really small portions... you definitely won't get full from pasta alone. But with another dish and/or appetizer, you can easily spend €40 per person just for the meal.

Professionalism, friendliness, authenticity, integrity, quality, and fair prices reign supreme. I've been coming to Massa Marittima for over 20 years, and I've always been going to Osteria Grassini. It's always a sure thing, like when you'd go to Grandma's on Sundays. Here, you feel at home. The classic, traditional dishes are well-prepared, just as you'd expect from a restaurant of this type. Mary is an excellent cook who knows her stuff. Prices are displayed before you sit down, as well as on the menu, so you won't find any surprises; in fact, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the value for money. Based on my experience at both Michelin-starred and non-starred restaurants, this restaurant is one of my favorites; it makes me feel at home. Highly recommended, as is the service: take your time, enjoy your dinner alone or with friends, unhurriedly, savoring the food and good wine, and finishing the evening with an excellent gin and tonic prepared by Alberto. For my next trip to Massa Marittima, I won't need to look for a restaurant; I already know where to go.

We went to this place for the Florentine steak. It wasn't cooked well, but the quality was good. The cheese board was excellent.

Located in the main square with a magnificent view of the Duomo, this osteria offers excellent traditional dishes. The Cinta Senese ham is excellent, and the daily specials are delicious. My only suggestion: a slightly larger portion for the main courses would be appreciated! They also recommended a good local wine! We'll gladly return next time we're in the area! 🙂

Perfect, nothing else to add....the only thing is to book before you go.

Non è la prima volta che visitiamo questo posto. Oltre ad aver mangiato benissimo, perché la cucina di Mariliana non delude mai, siamo stati accolti e serviti col sorriso e pure le nostre piccole bimbe sono state benissimo. Alla prossima!

Ho mangiato come al solito benissimo con ottimo personale gentilissimo e accogliente..... purtroppo la serata è stata rovinata dall'arroganza e presunzione di un giovane cliente con famiglia a seguito...... per chi fosse interessato legga pure la recensione con tanto di foto...... sono abitudinaria del locale e come tale mi dispiace veramente tanto aver assistito in diretta ad una bella e voluta provocazione da parte del cliente capitolino..... tanto di cappello al titolare per la fermezza dei suoi nervi...... ciao ragazzi alla prossima!!!!!
