After a sadly challenging period, I decided to take my wife out for dinner, also for a carefree evening. The restaurant I chose at random was perfect not only for the quality of the food and the cleanliness and beauty of the place, but also for the kindness of the waitress, as well as the exquisite and empathetic service of the owner, who checked on the customers' satisfaction, exchanging a few words during the waiting times. All of this contributed to making this convivial moment for my wife and I peaceful and pleasant, just as I had hoped. I recommend this restaurant to everyone 😉👍

Having returned after many years, I stand by my review below and post a photo of the menu I found at the end of October 2025. I had dinner with my family, the food was excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They serve a welcome appetizer of polenta and a delicious cheese fondue. We accompanied it with a selection of cold cuts and cheeses as an appetizer. My eldest son and I had venison fettuccine and mountain gnocchi, and my wife had whole-wheat pasta with porcini mushrooms and chestnuts. We were full, so we ordered two desserts. Everything was truly delicious... For four of us, without wine, we had two appetizers, four first courses, and two desserts plus water, totaling €54. Very reasonable! We'll be back often. We haven't been for a few years because they're often full. It's best to book in the evening.

We went for lunch; the very kind staff helped us choose. We ordered two first courses: mountain gnocchi and tagliolini with duck ragù, followed by wild boar stew. Everything was truly excellent. The pasta was perfectly cooked and with a delicious ragù, the gnocchi with smoked ricotta were delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful with grilled polenta. All this was accompanied by a delicious house red wine. For dessert, a pistachio parfait. The staff was very quick and helpful, and the price was good. They even let us bring a small dog (French bulldog) if you bring your four-legged friend. We discovered this place by accident, but we'll definitely be back!

I had dinner at Osteria girasole with my husband. Excellent food, polenta entree with fondue with local cheeses, spaghetti all'amorane and tagliatelle with duck ragù, a tasty rib and the meat melted in your mouth. All the desserts were homemade. Friendly and nice staff. Well-kept location even if a little dated, but the important thing is to eat well. Very good prices, comparing the cost in the province of Como. If your goal is to eat and local dishes, I highly recommend

Warm and welcoming climate, highly professional staff available to meet customer needs. Highly satisfactory quality-price ratio, dishes prepared with attention and skill, combining local products and sophisticated knowledge. The jewel in the crown is Mrs. Elisabetta, owner together with her husband Riccardo, capable of making the environment pleasant and welcoming at all times.

02/01/2026: It was a very delicious dinner with beautiful service. We enjoyed pasta and meat secondi. Wine was outstanding as expected. The service was excellent including welcoming drink and courtesy of the entire team
25/11/2025: Borgo Antico, the restaurant at the Villa Quaranta hotel, was the icing on the cake of our stay in Verona. We dined there and... what can I say? We truly felt at home, pampered by a warm, welcoming atmosphere filled with irresistible aromas. The Amarone risotto was simply a masterpiece: creamy, enveloping, the kind that makes you smile immediately when you taste it because you know you're tasting something special. The Chateaubriand, then... oh my! Tender, flavorful, cooked to perfection. It's truly difficult to describe how delicious those dishes were: mouth-watering, and so was the plate, without shame. Of course, it was all accompanied by an excellent Tommasi wine, the perfect way to end our stay at the villa. A toast that exuded quality, care, and tradition. In short: a top-notch dinner, incredible dishes, and an atmosphere that makes you feel good from start to finish. Highly recommended!

04/11/2025: This is a legendary restaurant. I visited alone for lunch in early October. It's a bit far from the tourist areas and quite pricey, but if you have the time, it's a seafood restaurant worth visiting. The staff were also very friendly. To cut to the chase, it was absolutely delicious. Even the bread served before the meal was impressive. It's not easy to find good bread in Italy, but this place is different. They said both the bread and butter are handmade. My order was Crudo di ombrina, mandorle, menta e tourlo d'uovo marinato and Gnocchi di patate e basilico con scampi e bottarga fatta in casa. The Ombrina fish carpaccio had a wonderfully fatty flavor. The diced fish underneath created a fun contrast in texture, while the mint, refreshing lemon juice, olive oil, and nutty almond powder perfectly balanced the flavors. The yellow powder on top is pickled egg yolk, and its umami is incredibly intense, enhancing the overall flavor of the dish. The scampi, potato, and basil gnocchi was the best I've ever had, even though I'm not usually a fan of gnocchi. The texture was soft and chewy, and the scampi was perfectly cooked and richly flavored. The homemade bottarga was especially impressive, perfectly balancing the umami and seasoning.
