I happened to visit this restaurant while staying at an Airbnb in Piazza Piano di Sorrento, but it turned out to be the best seafood restaurant I'd visited during my trip to northern and southern Italy. I had vongole and a seafood platter.

Trying this restaurant is like discovering flavors that have been somewhat forgotten, thanks to the now-too-common fast food. Some combinations (I confess) are rediscovered among those buried in memory, traditional dishes sometimes shamefully abandoned. Old flavors are rediscovered with pleasure...
The service is good, though a bit lacking in numbers, and the prices are just above average.

We were greeted with a smile and treated with great kindness and helpfulness throughout. Served promptly, we enjoyed dishes created with fresh, high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and reasonable prices. It has an outdoor area and an air-conditioned indoor dining room, but most importantly, it has ample parking, which is a must-have in this area. I will definitely be back.

We went to Osteria Estoria for a family lunch and the experience was truly enjoyable. We ate wonderfully: carefully prepared dishes, elegant plating, and perfectly balanced autumnal flavors. Each course was a successful balance of tradition and creativity. The atmosphere was welcoming and the service attentive. Ample parking is available. A place to remember and recommend.

We had the pleasure of dining at Osteria Estoria in Piano di Sorrento and were enchanted by the attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients, crafted with creativity and respect for tradition. A true tribute to local seafood!
🍽️ Our Choices and Highlights
The menu offers an intriguing journey from raw to fried, with presentations that make each course a little picture:
Fried Paranza (Shrimp and Squid): Absolutely exceptional. The fried fish was incredibly light, dry, and crispy, served in a charming "coppo" on hand-decorated plates. The freshness of the fish was undeniable; a real must-try.
Seared Tuna in a Crust: A dish that highlights contrasts. The tuna, cooked to perfection while still pink on the inside, was coated in a crispy and flavorful breading. Served on a bed of vegetables with a basil and parsley sauce, it demonstrated technique and boldness in its pairings.
Octopus and Pumpkin: A combination of land and sea. The octopus tentacles, grilled until crispy, paired beautifully with the sweetness of the pumpkin. A balanced and seasonal appetizer.
Stuffed Paccheri: An original first course. These baked and breaded paccheri (stuffed with mushrooms and sausage) were placed on a creamy mushroom and vegetable soup, garnished with powdered spices. The soft interior and crunchy exterior were a pleasant surprise.
Vodka-Marinated Salmon: Served on a bed of finely chopped fennel and drizzled with aromatic oil. A delicate, fresh, and well-balanced appetizer.
Torselli alla Genovese: A rustic and comforting first course, topped with Genovese sauce and finished with grated cheese.
Potato Parmigiana with Fried Onion Rings: Excellent onion rings, also perfectly fried, served with a caciocavallo fondue that perfectly complemented the flavor, with a potato parmigiana that was creamy on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside.
✨ Conclusions
Osteria e Storia, with its talented and expert chefs Gennaro and Antonio, is not just a restaurant, but a place where traditional Sorrento cuisine meets innovation. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, with attentive and professional service. The dishes are aesthetically beautiful and, above all, delicious.
Highly recommended for an elegant and delicious dinner in Piano di Sorrento.

Four of us went to this restaurant on Friday evening.
The place is very well-maintained, the food is top-notch. Compliments to the chef, who did a meticulous job.
I highly recommend the appetizers, they are heavenly!
The chef even greeted us at the counter, and we felt right at home. We'll be back!

Excellent food with a variety of meat and seafood options.
If you go, I recommend trying all the unique and expertly executed dishes, but if you're a steak lover, you'll also find exceptional quality.
