Recommended to us by the host where we are staying these days, tonight we had dinner in this place, the Villa Nachini Gabassi Restaurant, also known as Osteria Barchessa. The cuisine is typical Friulian, where tradition is combined with a pinch of innovation and a great variety of wine labels.
As an appetizer they offered us salami in vinegar with onion and a purple cabbage pie, we then continued with a portion of pork cheeks braised in Refosco accompanied by mashed potatoes and a portion of sem fillet, a dish prepared with three thin fillets of sorana , rolled up to form a swirl and then plated in a pan at medium cooking.
We concluded with a dessert, Rigojanci, a chocolate cake typical of Trieste cuisine and of Hungarian origin, prepared with quality chocolate and in this case, with a rice-based sponge cake, light and sugar-free. I, a chocolate lover, really appreciated it, it was a great discovery.
Trained and courteous staff, almost all female, from the cook to the dining room staff. Elegant location, honest prices.

We went this evening and had a very good meal.
The service was also excellent: you can clearly perceive the passion with which they carry out their work!
Each dish conveys the care and love of the cook, who can be seen putting her heart into what she prepares.

A pleasant discovery on our part to find a splendid tavern in Corno, but above all the kindness of the superwomen who command it...wonderful food to say the least and good choice of wines...

Nice surprise, excellent welcome, professionalism and courtesy from an almost entirely female staff, excellent value for money, local cuisine, explanation of all the dishes with the origin of the raw materials, it was truly a nice experience, highly recommended, very good Specogna Cabernet Sauvignon.
Just one note on the environment... curtains and lighting to be reviewed (the one on the ceiling). For the rest everything is 5 stars, we will definitely be back to try the other dishes. Compliments!!!

The place is very nice and the food presented well. Toc in braide completely tasteless. Too bad I went for that.
Slow to serve. We arrived almost empty and as it filled up everyone was needed except us.....

Good quality food but small portions for the price. Prices not very high. The waitresses were kind and very accurate in describing the dishes, but the dishes arrived with a slight delay and the starter was served together with the first course. I understand that since there is a banquet there may be a bit of delay, but I was expecting a nicety such as an offered amaro or a double grappa. Instead nothing, everything very reduced to the minimum terms. However, the atmosphere is nice and the typical Friuli dishes are really good. But more attention to detail would make this place a must in the area. Sin!

We had lunch here during a vintage car rally. We were welcomed with cooked ham and horseradish crostini and a sparkling Ribolla Gialla which, according to someone like me, who only drinks Veneto Prosecco, was simply spectacular. We continued with an appetizer of mixed cold cuts and vegetables, homemade tagliatelle with white ragù and orange zest and pork cheeks with polenta and potatoes. The meat melted in your mouth. Very very polite and smiling staff. A further visit is definitely on the agenda.
