A very informal, relaxed atmosphere. The hosts are knowledgeable, offer tips, and are multilingual. :) The chef still cooks here himself, and as a guest, you can feel the positive energy.

Super cozy place. We were there two days in a row because we thought the place was so nice and easy to get to with the parking lot right across the street. The food was really delicious and the staff is super nice! I highly recommend eating there if you visit Siena 😃

We had a wonderful evening at Sotto Le Fonti in a family atmosphere and with delicious food. The Bistecca Fiorentina was grilled to perfection, and the pici with porcini mushrooms made the restaurant a tasty dining experience even for vegetarians. The wine recommendation went perfectly with both dishes, so we can highly recommend this authentic Tuscan and very friendly restaurant. Sotto Le Fonti is close to the city center and very easy to reach. A parking garage is directly across the street.

Während unseres kurzen Aufenthalts in Siena haben wir dreimal im Sotto le Fonti gegessen. Die Pastagerichte sind frisch und sehr lecker, ebenso der Salat. Die Osteria liegt unterhalb der Altstadt in der Nähe der Rolltreppe und gegenüber eines großen Parkplatzes, sie ist dadurch gut zu erreichen. Vielen Dank an Britta für die perfekte Bewirtung!

06/11/2025: This restaurant is located near Abadia S. Salvatore (about 2 km away) in the province of Siena. It appears to be family-run. I ordered a main course and a side dish and tried a friend's first course. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended.
03/11/2025: A truly excellent lunch with friends. A place unlike any other, where the cook or server is dedicated to satisfying the customer. Raw ingredients, portions, and availability. Everything was perfect. Congratulations. P.S. The vegan option is excellent!!!
