This place was a recommendation and we wanted to try it out. The food was nothing special. The portions were really small for the indicated price. And the 10% service charge fee is really impudent. Overall in Siena a fixed fee is calculated (which is disturbing enough) but here the more you eat the more service charge you pay. Be careful with the dishes, not everything seemed fresh to us and we would not recommend eating here. Anyway, we left the place hungry because the portion was so small.

As a regular visitor to Siena, I appreciated the walk to the restaurant, walking behind the basilica and viewing the fountain, or pool, behind it. It was my first experience of this section of Siena and worth the modest walk outside the usual, tourist heavy Center. The staff was great, with the owner/operator husband and wife personally attending tables and cooking the food,the ambiance local and low key, food reasonably priced and delicious. The steak was very well cooked and seasoned, side dishes well matched and, as expected of Tuscany, the wine was fantastic and affordable. Most importantly, I left full, content and delighted I happened to stumble on Le Fonti amidst the ocean of Siena options.

I highly recommend this place! The quality of the food is at the highest possible level. The service was above and beyond and the price relative to the value is excellent. Those who visit Siena must not miss this place.

Breve sosta a Siena in famiglia,
Oltre a visitare questa fantastica città volevo far assaporare ai miei i figli i sapori caratteristici di questa terra!
Perfettamente riusciti;
Pici (FATTI A MANO 🤩) con ragù di carne chianina, strepitosi!!!
La Fiorentina di chianina cotta alla perfezione, morbida e gustosa 🔝.
Eravamo indecisi sul vino, la signora con molta pazienza, ci ha consigliati e fatto assaggiare dei vini finché non abbiamo trovato quello di nostro gradimento.
Personale gentile e molto disponibile!
Prezzo adeguato alla qualità!!!

Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants fühlten wir uns herzlich willkommen. Die Atmosphäre war warm und einladend. Der Service hervorragend und aufmerksam. Die Speisekarte bietet eine wunderbare Auswahl an klassischen Gerichten. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die qualitativ hochwertigen Steakvariationen. Gerne und bald auf ein Wiedersehen.
